Welcome back one and all, we've finally made it to the last full dining day of our trip. Hmmmm, I wonder...if I laid this dining report out alongside the human intestinal tract, which would be longer?
Today is Friday, October 27th and we are sad because we have to go home tomorrow morning. To try to numb the pain we do what we do best...have breakfast!!
Sing with me....
Oh by gosh, by golly
it's time for waffles at the Galley...
Jason and I discovered the Yacht Club Galley a few years ago for breakfast and it's become something of a tradition for us because I can order a giant Mickey Waffle and they serve a meaaaaaaan cafe mocha (are you reading this California Grill? You could learn a thing or two!!).
It's never overly crowded here and we've never needed an ADR, regardless of when we show up. Breakfast here has always been a quiet, laid back affair.
Before ordering any food, I order my heart's desire...a cafe mocha!
Look at that...the cup overflowing with chocolate-fortified uber-caffeinated goodness, topped with far too much whipped cream for 8AM, drizzled with chocolate sauce...my hands are shaking just writing about it. I think I'm going to have to go make some coffee now...
OK, I'm back. The percolations are imminent.
***I'll send my sticky toffee recipe to the first person who knows where I lifted that line from.***
Predictable as always, I order the Giant Mickey Waffle for my breakfast.
I can't say that I order this because it's the best tasting waffle ever, because it's not. It's more the novelty of eating Mickey's flour-enriched head drenched in maple syrup that I like.
Jason is also predictable, and he orders the Three-Egg Omlete which comes with bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, cheddar cheese, ham, sausage, and bacon served with breakfast potatoes and a biscuit.
That is one big honking plate of food! And he ate every bite of it, too. Wait a minute! Ham...sausage...bacon...!!!!!! The Homer Simpson pork-trifecta!!! Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jon ordered blueberry pancakes...
Pretty good sized portions, don't you think?
And last, but not least...the Grimace, uh, my mom, ordered Eggs Your Way: two eggs cooked your way with breakfast potatoes, choice of bacon or sausage, and a biscuit.
Eggs her way are scrambled, which is fine by me, but those potatoes are disgusting. It looks like the cook blew chunks on her breakfast.
Enough about that.
Everyone was most satisfied with breakfast and everything we orderd was covered under the dining plan, inluding those delightful cafe mochas. If you don't mind a bit of a slower start to your morning you should give the Galley a try for breakfast. It's yummy! And they also have a buffet if you and your family prefer that over ordering a plated breakfast.
We remain very happy with our breakfast experiences here and will continue to visit the YCG for unhealthy pork servings and decapitated mouse heads.
