I just called to add the AAA rate to my reservation and they said all the computers are down...
But...no AP's yet she said...

I too have the AAA for Coronado Springs....if the AP rates come out and are better I am kind of torn.....I REALLY want to try Coronado Springs but we would also like to try AKL So I don't know if I will just save $$$ on CS or move up.
so many decisions!

ok..I almost had a heart attack..I called CRO and was told that the FL Res discount was out.
After she tried for a few minutes, she told me the rates were not coming up and .............


STOP THE PRESSES!!!!!

I JUST GOT IT...No FLRES discounts on Standard view, but on Woodsview...$149.50!!!! WOO HOO!!!!

I wasn't too impressed with CSR. We has a great room but the property is just huge and you end up walking forever just to go to the pool or to eat. From what I've been reading AKL may be the best hotel on property. If it was on the monorail line you probably wouldn't be able to get in. I think its a no brainer to go for the AKL. We are planning a Christmas 2005 visit at the AKL. Have fun

Lilygator, we have stayed at Coronado and really enjoyed it. As posted above, the resort is very large, and like Carribean Beach, room location can "make or break" your experience. If you opt for Coronado, you might pay a bit extra for a "preferred location" if they offer that. This would put you close to the food/activities.

I think AKL is great but don't want a standard view because many of those rooms are actually "parking lot view!" The savannah view rooms are very pricey. Just depends on your opinion.

Well, one less person will be watching for AP rates-me!!!! I just got FL res rate of 233.04 (with tax) at BC for Memorial Day weekend!

suzy - what is BC? and what code did you use? I just called and asked for fl res rate and they said it was the same as the AAA rate???

Someone just posted they saved $600 at AKL over the AAA rate using the new Visa code... only I had a different code than the one I see on this last page. We are not supposed to post codes but I think it is okay to answer PM questions.

I booked Savannah view at AKL in June for $210 +tax
and Pop for $69 +tax

I just tried again and no luck...it is a Fl and Visa rate....this CM did not know if and when there would be a FL resident rate.

I wouldn't call AP holders "loyal customers" anymore. There are so many people now that are buying one child's pass for the resort discount. Even the unofficial guides recommend doing it so it's becoming pretty widespread. I think eventually Disney will figure out a way to entice the more frequent visitors, but I don't think it will be done with AP rates.
