With the earliest than ever start date of MNSSHP at August 7th, how long will it take them to push the start date into July? How long can that greed hold out?🤣🤣🤣

If it does happen (which I surely hope it doesn't), I'd view it not as greed but as demand. It's so popular that folks are willing to pay to do it, even in August (or even July!)!

Yes. I agree. Adding more dates is more demand, not greed.

Greed would be not putting a cap on attendance. At least parties do sell out.
But I’m sure they tinker with how far they can up the capacity each year to see how many more people they feel they can squeeze in without it negatively affecting people’s experiences. Some will view that as greed. Others will view that as business.

I think it all depends on (1) demand (2) occupancy rates.

I agree it is more demand than greed, but I do think another factor may be that bookings are down in August so they are offering this earlier to draw some in. The lower international guests coming may have also factored in to this year.

A decade+ ago the parties were at least 30% smaller. One of our firsts we owned the park and I spoke to a CM connected to party tickets. Our night was a rare night of only 9000 tickets sold. She said while they varied by night usually they maxed out at around 25,000 giver or take. I WISH there were only that many now but we have watched the crowds grow every year to the point it is no different than some normal park days. In addition to that - tickets are 2-3x more in price!!!

The question is .... are the numbers and the price greed? :confused3

One thing is for certain: that $200 ish single day ticket, does even get you past dinnertime anymore.

Disney does not want to sell day tickets, they have made that crystal clear. They want to sell a minimum of 3-4 day tickets so they can maximize profits on hotels, food etc.

I don't feel sorry for anyone who buys a one day ticket, they do so knowing they are overpaying for their day. It is the worst possible investment for a day of entertainment.

Like I said. Some will view it as greed. Others will view it as business.
Since the demand is there, and they continue to sell out, I tend to lean towards it being business. And while I always loved the parties, the price increases over the past few years have made it not worth it for our family. But I can’t fault them since there is someone there to take my place.

And I do agree. it was much less crowded years ago.

I agree! I went to the party in 2016 and 2017 and felt like we had the park to ourselves. 2019 was the last MNSSHP we attended - it was $84 after tax for a night in September and we couldn't believe the crowds then. We said no more after that and when the parties came back after the pandemic the prices went way up. Not worth it to us with those crowds anymore at this price.

Sounds like the greed really comes in with the number of guest they are letting in now verses years ago. If the parties were limited to a lower number of guest and one could feel that, then I could see the higher cost.
