April, May, June AP Watch. Let's Get it Started

Speedyf, again you are a voice of reason. Thanks!

I am going in June, with hubby's conference, either way. Where we stay will depend on codes -- I am not going to skip meals to get to the Polynesian! Riverside will do me just fine. And I still refuse to believe that our actions here will EVER influence codes offered to the world at large. If ONLY we were that important!

I did make one mistake with my AP purchase. I bought it too early. A friend went to WDW in Feb so she bought it for me at Company D to get me a discount on it. Well, at the time I was staying at POFQ and in March I received a postcard code for $74 a night for POFQ. I was in Heaven! Then, POFQ closed and we were moved to AKL for $94 for a Sav view. I have learned to not buy them so early. Hopefully I can put it to use this trip, but that's not certain yet either! I did use if for that one night at AKL when our flight was canceled that I didn't get with the upgrade since it wasn't the length of my original stay, but it didn't pay for the difference in regular park tickets especially since I have a PAP due to the love that my family has for Quest and Typhoon Lagoon. I figured I needed to save about $100 on our rooms to break even for the pass price.

Next time I'll wait closer to the actual travel date to by my annual pass. And, this year because I get out of school so late and we've had SNOW DAYS our entire stay isn't covered by the pass so I have to renew or buy a park hopper.

I really cannot stand snow days!!!!!!

Just peeping in.....

I too would love to see some code/AP rates come out, but I already booked at CBR. Paid more than I wanted too, but we have always stayed there and it has sentimental value. We always 'budget' so if a code comes out, I can use those $$$$ elsewhere. We also just got one of those 'coveted' Disney Visa offers, so that may be the way to go....But (there is ALWAYS a but in there..lol), when we call on the Visa offer, there may/may not be availability.
So for us, we have to go ahead and book it as though we weren't getting any type of discount (because we haven't as of yet) and we really want to stay at CBR regardless of the price.
We're new to all this 'code/AP' stuff; but love to save money and Love even more staying on site at CBR.

So...it'd be nice, but if not the 'sun is still gonna shine! :)
May all of our trips be truly Magical!

I guess there are no AP rates out today.:(
I dont know why but I always expect them to be released on a Monday.

Today we got a postcard, although they misspelled out last name. I don't know why they sent it to us, other than they thought they were sending it to an entirely different family. We already have reservations for April/May. The reason I telling you this is that I have a new philosophy about the AP rates. I don't think they will release the AP rates and next round of codes until they sell as many rooms for the period up to April 17. The post card arrived today, Feb. 21 and the dates the special was good for was Feb. 12 - April 17. (Which we are already one week into that time period) I think they are making a last minute effort to push as many people into making reservations for early Spring even thought the public offer "expired". Disney's discount codes obviously didn't bring in enough guests to fill up all the rooms. They are going to "milk" the current offer before they open up the floodgates for late spring/summer. I think we may have another two weeks to wait. So the CM that suggested to call back in mid-March is probably right on target.

Our postcard last year met the AP rate. This is about the time of year we received ours last year too. Interesting....

I just called to cancel a Poly reservation for June, due to no AP rates yet... Just was over my head financially. The nice CM who helped me said "What about the new Disney Visa rates?" I replied that I was not one of the "new cardholders" to whom they were making offers available.

CM tells me there is now a code for all Disney Visa card holders: CTV. She quoted me $239 Poly and $149 Wilderness Lodge. Swears they can book it today, although this morning it still said "pending." Said she got an Email telling her she could now book it...

Hope this helps some. AP codes must be soon to follow. I was so excited I didn't get more details but my travel is the first week of June. Now I am sitting here going crazy trying to decide between the Lodge (fiscal responsibility) or the Poly (a splurge!) She quoted me $1,332 for 5 nights garden view, which seems like a good deal to me! Now to convince dear hubby...

Hang in there, Colleen. My guess is that the AP Rates will even be a little better. I hope that's the case!
ADP :D

Wow, I hope these rumors are correct. I'm afraid if they don't release ap codes tomorrow people could riot. ;)

I booked the Poly! $239 I can live with, and if the AP rate is a bit lower, maybe they'll adjust my rate! In any case, I am going to the Poly for the first time in over 20 years!

I called my Mom to tell her all about it, and she was so jealous, I convinced her to come. She has a Disney Visa also, and now we have TWO rooms at the Poly.. These rates are too good to pass up. The CM told me $149 Lodge, $89 Moderate, $69 Value.

AP codes have got to be close behind! Went with my sis last year (FL resident code) and we were able to get Value for $59 first week of June. I am hoping AP codes will be same for this year also, I see it's $69 for Visa cardholders.
I can live with $69, but $59 is even better!!!

I sincerely hope they release AP rates too. I am afraid that with the release of the Disney Visa rates they wont.:( I havent got a Disney Visa and Living outside the US means I cant get one.

I caleed twoce and was told no AP rates in system for after 4/17. I ask if she could tell that they are pending and she said no she did not see that.

Bummer.....
