April, May, June AP Watch. Let's Get it Started

ok..I am on the phone with CRO ( everyone's posts made me nervous ) and the CM is telling me that the CM last night booked me on the Disney Visa...EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A CASH DEPOSIT!! He does not understand why and I am currently on hold while he calls Guest Services!!

I AM FLIPPING OUT!!! I don't have a Disney Visa, don't want one, never mentioned it when I called...Just told her I was a Florida Resident with a Seasonal Pass!!!

Hi, it's 12:50 PM here and I just called to see and the CM got me so excited...she said oh I think we have it for those dates,...then...NOTHING. :( Still only until 4/17...The Visa codes sounds reasonable...but I don't have the card (those C.C. thingies are evil! ;) ) So, I'm waiting patiently for the AP codes...right now, the rate I booked at are $283.33 p/n at WL.

Sigh..hopefully something will come soon. :teeth:

should I call and ask about my reservation? I am now a little nervous? there was no mention of a visa rate or anything, he never even asked me for a code or a pin number. He was very nice and helpful. All I asked for was the fl resident rate, never changed my reservation number or anything. My original deposit payment was in the form of visa - but not a disney visa however that was never brought up either. I did ask about paying ahead and he said that was fine or to pay at checkin....he never said I would need anything at checkin,,,,but now I am freaking myself out.

Here's a question...Sorry if it's dumb, but I really don't know. I've been out of touch for a bit, & just came across the Disney Visa discount...called for availability for 2 nts in June, & there's NOTHING! If (& when!) the AP rates come out, will there be a new "block" of discounted rooms, or am I gonna just be out of luck all the way around? I think I'd probably prefer to use AP discount anyway b/c we just used the DV for our cruise (6 mos interest free) & if I put anything else on there, it will start accruing interest b/c payments are put to the no interest part of the bill first--so much for savings

FYI--When I was on the phone this morning, they did check for any AP rates when I asked. Nothing yet...I asked if there would be any anytime soon & the CMs response was a cheerful "there could be!" & wished me an absolutely magical day. I guess with an attitude like that you keep people from blowing the raspberries at you!! :p

DisneyMom, it has been my experience (and of course all I know I have learned right here!) That when ANY discounted rates appear, there is a mad rush of all the internet nuts (us) who have been waiting, impatiently. Popular times and the least expensive rooms -- "standard views" may book up rather quickly. The Disney Visa offer came out just this past weekend, yet many here report it is "sold out" for dates they inquired about.

I am not sure how many rooms are available at the AP discount, if it's a percentage or a certain number or even if it changes from season to season -- probably only Mickey knows. What I do think you should do is check these Boards every morning, and if no one has called yet that day, call yourself. At this point that's the best way to get in on the AP discounts once they arrive.

Good luck!

Hello, I'm new here and May will be my first trip to WDW but I've read ALOT of forum threads and found this site and mousesavers to be very informative. Thank you!

So in a related DVisa question, I booked "standard king" at the CBR using the DVisa discount because DVisa "standard views" were already booked. So when the AP rates come out and there's another mad rush of internet nuts ;) booking with the AP rates, will that potentially free up some of the DVisa "standard views"? i.e. would that be a good time for me to call back and see if there's any DVisa "standard views" available? Any advice you can give is greatly appreciated! :teeth: (I did the math and it wouldn't be cost beneficial for me to purchase an AP).

Soccergirl--that is a good idea. Another idea for you is to start calling the 2nd week of March. The people makinmg ressies now dont have to have their desposit in til 2 weeks after they made the ressie. Some might book other things, cancel or just not send in their deposit so good chance you might get what you want.
Also it doesnt hurt to call daily anyway. I made ressies yesterday for Poly gv--when others said there were no more and also tried to make a 1 night ressie for May 29 (our first night in before our BWV dvc stay) and was told there were no value or mods left. I cb today and got a ressie--2 rooms--at Pop Century.

I just called 6:45p.m. No AP's the nice young lady said they should be coming out soon.

I hope so:Pinkbounc

It seems as if the AP rates come out on Mondays so I'm banking on March 1st or March 8th. Also why don't they free the other offers like the magical gatherings fireworks cruise. How do they do business like this. People need time to prepare for vacations.

My last AP rate for February came out on Wednesday, December 4th..

I also wanted to add a post to put this back in my "subscribe" threads so that I will receive e-mail notification! I noticed it was out of my user CP and I got my first e-mail on another thread in FIVE days! Arrgggghhhh!

Called at 7 am and nothing new...no new discounts yet.

Lori

ps...I remember codes for the fall last year coming on a Thursday so don't put all your faith in a Monday but put in it the next day everyday.

Tess, I don't think the email notification is working.
I haven't rec'd any since last week.

With the updating going on......we may have to wait.

Anyway, I still keep checking the boards every morning!

Will be confirming my flights tomorrow.....looks like I will have to add 2 days to my stay in order to use my Frequent Flyer......

Awe....how sad.....I have to change my dates to ADD a couple days!!!!!:teeth: :teeth:

Now I really need the AP codes!!!!::yes::

Notifications just resumed for me this a.m.--that's why I bumped and added a post--to get it back in my "subscribed" list. Notifications are flowing now, but only on those threads I have posted to recently. The old threads were dropped in my "subscribed" threads section under User CP.

Just called 9:45 am 2/25. No AP rates yet. Tried again to apply code CTV to existing Poly ressie--no luck there, either. Patience is a virtue...

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I don't have enough time to scan 300 odd posts to this thread. I'm rather new to this board, but have been to Disney twice in the past year with an AP. I understand that Disney comes out with booking codes for discounts, but if someone could clarify a few questions I'd appreciate it.

1) I'm interested in FW campground. Is there usually a discount rate that comes out for June/July for AP and if so, could someone tell me what ballpark the discount usually is so I can compare to other discount rates I've received in the past?

2) Are these discounts resort specific, or are they general discounts which apply to all resorts?

3) Where do I look to find these codes, or do I have to call Disney and ask them if they're available?

Thanks!

bgula, the easiest place to find out all this is MOUSESAVERS.com

This is a great site that summarizes all current disounts/codes. Go there and click on "Disney World" then "Go right to the discounts." The site is easy to use and comprehensive.

I believe there are currently codes for the cabins -- ballpark $169 per night.
