Ok folks at WDW for Food and Wine, please pass on the not to be missed items from the various kiosks

Thanks,

Oooh, make sure you check out the GREAT links on the DisBoard DL site - we live in SoCal and are AP holders so we go quite often (in fact we've got a trip planned for 10/28-10/30, staying at the remodeled DLH) and yet I STILL always find out cool stuff from that board that I never knew before to try on every trip!!

Great tip....we are staying @ the GC, and SOOOOOOOOOOO looking forward to this trip!

Thx and agin!

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2
Just wanted to second SanDiegoSteph, I thought I was pretty DL savvy, but I'm so glad I checked out the forum before I went. I had no idea they was an early entry for resort guests to get fast passes for World of Color and that Soarin and Ariel would be open at the time.

We are at the Villas at the Grand Californian. We are looking out onto the Redwood Challenge Trail and can see Tower of Terror in the distance.we love it here.

Corinna
We just got back Sunday and I wish we were still there. Have a great time everyone!

I've never been to DL so I'm definitely going to have to check out the DL forum. Thanks for the heads-up.

Just got caught up! We got back Sat from the WBTA. I cannot wait for another long cruise because 14 nights was awesome :thumbsup2 We'll definitely be staying on the April cruise. We heard that the October Hawaii was opening up while we were on our cruise and the day it opened up the line for the rebook desk was into the art gallery.

Seems that I found a new hobby and it happens to pay ! :rotfl2: I worked on a Hallmark movie starring John Corbett. It is a true story set in the 80's about a teacher and his Special Ed students and what he does for them. I don't wan't to tell you the whole movie but have tissues on hand. I am in the opening scene with one of the students sitting next to me, teacher is in row behind me. Student is yelling and throws a notebook. We only did the one scene and it was a 15 hour day !! Hope to work more on this movie. It will air Sunday Jan. 29th on ABC. It's called A Smile as Big as The Moon. Here is a pic. of me, sorry it didn't come out good.:sad2: These are wardrobe clothes and shoes ! Oh and John Corbett is a funny guy !! He would ad lib when we were doing just rehearsals.
That's so neat. We'll definitely look for it you just might want to post a reminder. I've always wanted to meet him since he's from WV. I'm so jealous!

We are staying on April cruise also. Still hoping to change room to accessible before sail date - before payment date would be even better. We have a new travel agent at AAA and she is really staying on top of it for us. Our original agent we have had for years just transferred to Hawaii AAA office :rotfl2:. Said she come see us when we cruise in....

I know that this doesn't have anything to do with this cruise or even Disney for that matter, but does anyone know where the new Orlando LegoLand is in relation to WDW?

11A available at $2,265.00 per adult
4A available at $5,295.00 per adult

Yeah, I'm staying w/my 11A.

Now also a 9C at $2,655.00 per adult and

Legoland is near Lakeland Fl, about 40 min southwest of WDW down I-4. :thumbsup2

Hi all. Had a really busy day. We went on Mission Space, Test Track, Living With The Land, Journey Into Imaganation., Malestrom, and Sorin. Also saw Captian EO. Had lunch in Germany and a couple of drinks at Food and Wine. Then off to the Studio and we went on Rocking Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, The Great Movie Ride, abd Star Tours. Then had a quick Dinner at Pizza Planet. Then saw One Man's Dream and Fantasmic. (Why does the one her suck big time while ours at Disneyland rules?). So long day. Big day tomorrow. Talk to you all soon.

GOOD GOSH! You must be exhausted! And there must be a LOT fewer crowds than there were last weekend.

The Fantasmic show in DisneyLand is better than the one in Walt DisneyWorld because the seating situation SUCKS in California!! :lmao: If people sat on the hard concrete for 4 hours to and then saw the WDW version, they would probably be very disappointed (and their butts would never forgive them!):rotfl2:

(In fairness, though, I have to say that even though technologically the CA show is better-----such an amazing dragon!!-----I still love the WDW version, too, and we never miss it!)

Hey everyone-----

Sorry I have not been online much lately. Life is just too busy here....but I'm lurking, I promise....trying to keep up on at least some of what's going on! :thumbsup2

Thank you for sharing your trip with us. For those of us that can' get any park fix until next April we are really enjoying it. Pplease feel free to continue ;)

I've been working in Orlando for the past 2 months and driving back & forth to Tampa frequently so I can tell you that Legoland is at Exit 55 off of I-4 and the WDW parks are off of Exits 62 through 67. So unless you are stuck in some HORRIBLY bad traffic or driving REALLY slow it shouldn't take you more than 15-20 minutes to get from one to the other.

Hi Erik! Just have to say DITTO!!

I know! DH and I tried to rent points for a studio, but it did not work out. We have tried to rent points for our past few trips, and it has yet to happen. I am working on getting DH to actually buy points, hopefully I can warm him up by the time we sail.

Just wanted to let you know that whether you own points, or rent them, when a DVC resort/room-category is sold out, it's sold out. I just didn't want you to think that if you bought points between now and April, you'd have a better chance of getting a room.

You can keep trying though! DVC has a waitlist, which has come through for us many times! Even though the 7-month window just opened for any pre-cruise stays, and Studios are sold out, it doesn't mean one won't open up down the line. You should still see if you can find a DVC member who will waitlist the dates you need, and then you can rent the points from them if it comes through. Good luck!
