April 2015 Car Rental Codes

Hi All,
This rental car stuff is all new to me and totally overwhelming! I didn't realize there was so much to it! We typically spend our entire Florida vacations at WDW utilizing the on-property transportation. This trip, however, we'd like to venture over to the Gulf coast for a few days. I was thinking we'd pick up a rental (minivan) at one of the companies on Disney property and then we'd return the car to the Tampa Airport. However, I'm not finding much for less than almost $100/day. Is this typical? Would I be better off doing a week long rental out of MCO instead of taking the Magical Express? Thanks in advance for your help and knowledge! Oh, our dates would be April 25-28 or April 21-28 (if it made more sense to do an entire week rental).

Its really simple. We like to get our car from MCO and drive everywhere. So you will find here and on other threads, ID #'s, Coupon #'s, etc. For example, yesterday I used the Costco ID 7016405 and the Coupon AU3272SDN on the Alamo website. I got a minivan for 9 days for $250. This is the 3rd reservation I have because costs keep changing all the time. Just search around for other ID's and Coupons but this is (Costco) the best one I have found so far. You have to be a Costco member as they may ask you for the card, but it works great!

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for these codes. I used them and got a minivan for 8 days for $250. Much cheaper than the $600 I had found.

I usually cancel and rebook close to a half dozen times during the planning process. Today was my first rebooking and may be my last. We're looking for 4/19-4/25, which means no Saturday night stay and disqualifies us for some of the coupons out there. I'm still hoping for a good deal on a minivan or something that seats six people, but I'm not holding my breath. This morning I booked an intermediate with Enterprise for $106.13 (with taxes). Everything else was significantly higher, so I'm wondering if it was a fluke or data entry error. I'm not cancelling my old reservation ($228.79 from Alamo through Costco) quite yet.

I hope this is helpful to somebody out there!

Just rebooked again with Alamo Costco codes & coupon for Pick up in Daytona drop off MCO. I previously had a full size for 250 from 4/8 to 4/21. Now I have a premium for 230 all in. Premium was the only thing low- everything else was much higher!

Budget code BCD D464700 worked for me over the Easter holiday (Intermediate SUV). I am not sure of the origin of the code (I got it from the March 2015 thread, listed as "Retailmenot"). $259 all in with a $25 off coupon (MUGZ001, BJs coupon). My reservation says it is a 7 day, 1 hour minimum rental, just FYI. HTH.

Update: Now it's down to $237 with BCD V923000 instead (also a "Retailmenot" code).

I just rebooked my April Alamo car today (about the 3rd time). Using same codes listed in this thread--- Costco and $30 off my rate dropped $50 today.

I finally got a decent price with National this morning. I am holding a reservation with Alamo for a minivan for $512, and got executive aisle for $560. This is the lowest I've gotten for National and it only got this low when I booked with my pick up time on the half hour. If I do a pick up on the hour it goes up. My rental is for 18 days.

What are your dates and did you use any codes? We are flying into Tampa from 4/11-4/25- and everything is outrageous still.

We are at the end of the month. We are picking up April 29th @ 10:30A and dropping off May 16th @ 1:30P. Used the code 5007125 and coupon NDA 2324BR. The price changed every time I looked. I have a good minivan rate at Alamo for the same dates for a total of $510 using the Passholder rate and the $30 coupon AD 2338FDF. Just have to decide which to keep.

I havent been able to find the Costco code? We are need a car (preferably a mini van, but will take a standard) for 9/21 thru 9/28. Been checking lots of places and the most reasonable so far is Alamo at $273 for a car. I was able to use a $30 off code from on of the threads.
Anyone know if UT has better rates? I purchased our tickets from them. Also, is it better to wait to book closer to travel dates?
TIA

Here is the link to the Costco codes http://www.costcotravel.com/Rental-Cars, you will need to provide a membership card. If you bought your tickets from UT, they send a paper with your tickets with a special link for you to go to to get their discounted rate.

I've been trying to find a descent rate and finally got my Easter week rental under $200! My dates are April 1-8. I'm renting through Budget (DoubleTree at Downtown Disney location) using BCD U112000 (friends and family) and coupon MUGZ165 ($35 off weekly rate). My total is $194 for a compact.

I just got GREAT rates via National using BJ's code and coupon. Dates April 11-24. $218 for midsize and $443 for mini van.
