April 2015 Car Rental Codes

Costco ID. Be forwarned they have asked to see my Costco membership card before (its not consistent!).

Contract ID: 7014627
Thanks. And I have a Costco card.

Update: Just booked a compact for $176.83, which was $8 less than through Dollar. Thanks again.

Costco and dollar were down for me today. Easter week 4/5-4/11.
Intermediate SUV $241 at dollar and $259 alamo(costco)
Still at $164 for full size Alamo (costco).

Just checked dollar for my rates. 4/5/15-4/11/15 mid size suv
$181.21 all in:cool1: finally seeing so decent numbers on larger vehicles

April 11-18 must be the peak week in April because I can't find cheaper than $176 for a compact.

Subscribing!
My dates are April 4-11, and I am flying in and out of TPA.
I am also searching for my parents April 1-11.

The best I can do so far:
Hertz Mid-size 11days = $341 all in
Hertz Full-size 8 days = $247 all in

I'm looking for deals for April 11-20. Right now the best I can find seems to be Alamo with corporate ID 299851 and coupon AD2338FDF. With Insider, I get any car from economy through midsize for $200 and change.

Try contract ID 7014627 instead. But beware, it's a Costco coupon and you may be asked to provide proof of membership.

I'm subscribing. I just booked our air, hotels, and bought the tickets. Now all I need is the car rental and prices are really high for April 25-May 1. I will keep checking because at this rate, I may be looking into other options. We are doing 3 nights at Universal and 3 at Disney. I have to account for $20/night parking at Universal hotel (boo!) and the rental.

Thanks. I was able to get a Fullsize Crossover (Ford Edge) for $211.xx for the week. More than my $142 full-size, but I think DH would rather pay a little more for the bigger vehicle. I really like the ability to walk up and have my car assigned with Dollar, but I will investigate the pre check-in with Alamo and how easy it is.

What is the vroom vroom code? it seems to include some insurance.

Joining to remind myself to keep checking on prices. We're going April 29-5th. We usually score a full size for about $150 but the in laws will be joining us later on in the trip and we'll need a van or suv most likely to fit all the luggage. What's a good price for a van? Not sure what I should be happy with.

I've been pretty regularly checking all the companies and codes for April 4-11 since about October. Luckily I booked something then (fullsize through Dollar for $146 all in) because I haven't found anything really all that close to that since.

National Emerald Aisle with the Ohio State code (note: I have no connection to Ohio State) is probably the closest right now at $220.

FWIW I just googled the Ohio State National code and a PDF came up which very clearly states this rate code may only be used by those employed by Ohio State for official university business. Im all for saving but.....

I booked a minivan for $308 so far 9 days April 21-29 with Alamo using the vroom vroom code with AD2338FDF . That is the best I got so far!

So the vroom vroom code was showing one price on the page where you pick your vehicles (a reasonable $200 for 9 days) but when checking out it'd be raised to $260 or more. I also found online that vroom vroom is for int'l travelers and that's why it comes with insurance. There were reports of people being denied the free insurance if they were US citizens.

I did end up booking an economy for $230 from 4/11 - 4/20 using ID 7014926 and coupon AD2338FDF.

None of these Alamo codes work when I input them for my week (4/4 - 4/11). Always say they are no longer accepting those codes at this location or something.

Hmph. Still have seen nothing like my original Dollar deal (no codes, just city special) at 149 all in - lowest price I can find right now, not including the Ohio State thing at National, is more than twice that.

Subscribing. I guess it's that time of the year to be checking rates daily.

I'd prefer a minivan so we can drive to the parks with my parents, but I can't justify the premium. So far the best I can find for 4/19-4/25 is $228.75 for an Intermediate from Alamo through Costco.

Last summer we paid $135 for a fullsize with Budget for a full week during the summer. Let's hope the rates get that low again!

Again, the day before you leave for your trip, go to priceline.com and name your price for less than what your lowest rental price is. It's worked for me several times.
