April 2015 Car Rental Codes

I am currently sitting on two different reservations both made it through costco for 4/5/15-4/11/15. Both reservations with Alamo the first is a small SUV for $198 and the second is a full-size for $165. We are flying into TPA and I'm curious if they also have the Rows where you can select your own car? What are the chances that the full-size row would contain a minivan which would be my first choice being that we have three adults and two children? Still hoping to reduce the cost :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

we totally hit some luck last weekend and found a weeklong rental from St Pete, 4/17-4/24, Minivan from Enterprise for $275! It's double that when I check it now!

Subscribing.

I have been going the same week for about 8 years and I have never paid more that $200. The best rate I have is through Alamo, standard car $230 using the Vroom Vroom Vroom code and the $30 off code mentioned above. Dates are 4/25-5/3.

I'm looking for deals for April 11-20. Right now the best I can find seems to be Alamo with corporate ID 299851 and coupon AD2338FDF. With Insider, I get any car from economy through midsize for $200 and change.

Does this Corporate ID (Vroom Vroom) work for everyone? I was able to use this and get a better deal at Alamo....I got a Full Size Crossover (Ford Edge) for $240 all in! for 9 days!:)

Where do you enter VROOM VROOM? Is is like that, with a space in the middle?

Is it a Contract ID or a product code? It comes up invalid for me.

I can't get less than $401 all in for my dates, 4-23 to 4-30. (I need a mid SUV)

Look at my post.....the info is in the quote portion....its a contract ID....for Alamo....but the contract ID is for Vroom Vroom, which is a car rental website....My question was whether this can be used by all or is an ID for Corporations only....

Thanks, you said corporate ID in the other post, so I was not sure.

rats, it did not work for me, said invalid. Thanks for the info anyway. There are always codes that are for specific groups that seem to work for the masses. I am a Costco and BJs member, so I usually stick with those, or the National KLM code (I joined their FF program).

Sorry for the confusion...I went back today and they work fine....although in 24 hours the price has gone up for my res by about $40!

Are you trying them on Alamo? I am on the Canadian website, so maybe the US one is different?

We rented from Alamo at TPA in Nov, booked a standard and was able to select a minivan from the row at no extra charge. If you need a minivan, I would book one, but if you are just hoping for one, you might get lucky.

Hi all. This is just an FYI post. I've been watching rental prices for a few weeks now and have been disappointed in the high prices. For some reason, AAA's discounted rate for Dollar is almost $40 lower today. I went ahead and booked knowing I can change or cancel at any time. I'll keep looking, but now it is $168 instead of over $200 for April 25-May 1. This is only for an economy car, but the other car types showed about the same amount of savings.

We are visiting WDW 4/25-5/2. My daughter had her wish granted from Make A Wish, but unfortunately our chapter doesn't cover rental cars. There will be 7 of us and so we need a mini van. We are from Canada and I tried the codes for Alamo via vroom vroom and they didn't work for me. The cheapest I can find a minivan for is $550 for the 8 days (and we can't afford that at all). Any suggestions? My daughter is in a wheelchair so we definitely need the van.
Thanks!
Jessica

Do you have to fly into Orlando? Renting a minivan in Tampa through Budget using the bdc code x474200 with coupon mupz044 I got a minivan for $185. Before taxes . Minivans in Orlando seem to be very high this year. The drive from Tampa to Orlando isn't bad.

Dollar has one for $404.68. Still high, but better to reserve it and cancel later.

We do have to fly into Orlando. Make A Wish has already booked our tickets.
I had no idea that renting a van would be soooo expensive!

Do you have BJ Wholesale Clubs near you? They are a membership club. Their code gives you one for $380.00.

Are you going to other places other than Disney or staying off property? If you are staying on site and only going to Disney have you thought about just using the Magical Express. Disney transportation is very good with people with disabilities. Wishing you the best :)

We are staying at Give Kids the World and they offer a shuttle, but you can only use it to/from once a day and then you must go to whatever park they decide for you for that day. With kids ranging in age from 3-17, I really would like to have the ability to be more flexible.
Thanks for all of the help!
Jessica

Try asking MAW is they have any corporate relationships with rental companies. I volunteered with a wish granting organization and there might be discounts for you. Also, try carrental savers.com
