Last Tuesday, AP rates came out through April 11--now they are extended to May 23. Another tip--call around 11:30 ET time--that is when the system gets updated daily. I was able to get an AP rate of $1128 ($282/night) for the Polynesian concierge for four nights (March 22-26) on Saturday. 43% discount!

It's hard to say--traditionally, there are no AP rates out past the first week of March, and now they are going right through major spring break travel and Easter. You do not need an AP in hand to get a reservation with an AP discount, so if you do manage to snag one, then you can buy the pass. You will need to show it when you check in. The cost of the pass isn't going to be increasing between now and then, so there's no rush to get one now. Also, the break-even point for an AP is 8 days. If you are going to be in the parks 8 days or longer, or know you will be back within the year, an AP is a more cost effective pass to buy.

We loved the Treehouses! Some people feel they are too far out, but that's what we loved--the peace and quiet after a day at the parks. There are no theme pools, but the kids loved the pool by our place and there was a hot tub! After a long day at the parks, the hot tub was were you could find us! We did have a car, but we didn't use it to get to the parks--we used the buses. We actually were closer to the Fairways bus stop--just strolled along a path by our treehouse and there it was. There are three bedrooms--which is nice--no sofa-sleepers. Two of the rooms are upstairs--one has a bathroom, one doesnot--but there are two bathrooms on the top level. The third room is downstairs. You can see into the room from the top--there is a spiral staircase that has a "fence" with a gate around the top. It was my sister and BIL, two nieces (7 & 9), nephew 2 1/2, myself and Mom in one treehouse. The girls slept downstairs--there is a TV in that room and one in the living room. They'd go to sleep watching TV, and we'd turn it off with the remote up above. Kenny was not able to get down the stairs, but he'd gaze longingly down there, and sometimes toss a sock or two down the steps! The washer and dryer were downstairs too, and was that nice! There is a small balcony off the master bedroom, one off the kitche, then one off the stairs leading up to the front door. There is a full kitchen, and housekeeping runs the dishwasher for you. We'd go back, but now there is another nephew, so we've outgrown the space.
