AP rate for AKL?

Does anyone know if there will be or if there usually are AP rates over Christmas for the AKL? I don't know much about AP rules, but can you book any number of nights and get the discount? There are 2 adults and 2 kids...would all of us need to get AP tickets or just one of us?

I'm not able to help with your question about AP rates over Christmas, but I can help with the others...
(1)There are not any length of stay requirements for the AP rate
(2)You qualify for the AP as long as someone in your party has one (and can present it if asked)... My children (ages 5 and 8) have one and so do I, but my husband who does not have an AP has been able to check-in to a room reserved with an AP rate since our children were with him.

Last year the last night that you could book into a Disney Hotel with the AP rate was December 19. If you were checking in that afternoon and were staying through Christmas- the rate for the room would be the same for your whole stay.

If you booked in after that date, you would be on the HOLIDAY rate, which was rack (I believe).

However, if you made your booking in July, when the new codes came out- they were good until check in on December 25. They were just a little more than the AP rate (about $10 or so), and the dates for us were better.
