I am just curious if any one is upset because The Unofficial Guide is now the official guide of this Board.

I am happy it is - I love the UG because it is the unvarnished truth. It "tells it like it is". It is not disney propaganda.

Any one not happy?

Who cares. I think that this website looks for sponsors and "official" labels to assist in the costs of running this site. As long as the sponsor is on the up and up, I can only be happy that the site remains free and I am able to help those who need assistance with their WDW planning.

I think it is a great match,UG and the Dis have helped me get the most from my WDW vacations for a number of years.::yes:: :wave2:

I had to look at the thread to find out what "UG being the OG" meant. Sounded like Klingon to me.

I couldn't care less who sponsors the board.

I had to look to figure it out too! I think UG is a good fit - isn't the whole DIS board thing unofficial?!?:Pinkbounc

The addition of this new sponsor is wonderful, no doubt about it.

Whatever pays the bills to keep the board free and great! =)

I didnt have a clue what the abbreviations were either, LOL ;)

I think it is nice that they sponsor our boards. I have purchased it on occasion. I think it is useful to get info from several different guides, all of them offer a slighty different perspective.

LOL! Klingon!!!:teeth:

I'm thrilled they're a sponser too! I've loved UG for years ,I've been a part of the DIS for years... so the 2 coming together is pretty cool in my book!:smooth:

And yes officially the DIS Board is unofficial! ::MickeyMo

"UG" is now unofficial OFFICIAL GUIDE for this unofficial thread!

Ya Gotta love it!

But, The UG touches a lot of raw nerves with many Disneyphiles.

How will this be received?

I'm very thrilled. I love the UG and I buy it every year. They're not blinded with pixie dust but at the same time they really seem to appreciate the parks. It's a good mix IMO.

I think anyone who loves this board should be happy. Its an amazing site, its quick and its free - the UG sponsorship will only ensure it remains like that.

So all I can say is Q'pla to my Klingon brothers and sisters - lets send some live Gagh to the unofficial guide team to say thankyou.

I'm thrilled. I think it's terrific since Len T. is always on these boards and is really open to any input we might have. Is the UG all sweetness and light? Nope. But one trip to WDW usually gets you past that notion!!! It has only helped, not hindered, our travel plans. Thanks for a great addition to the boards Pete!!

I could NEVER have made it through my first WDW trip without the UG. I could NEVER have made it through my next WDW trips without these boards. Now they are together in one place - WHAT A MATCH!!!:Pinkbounc

Official, unofficial, if it's WDW related - I've got it! I think all the guides have merit. My personal favorite is the Deluxe Passporter. The information is good, but what I like most is the pockets, etc that also provide storage space for tickets and passes.

Personally I like the Birnbaum guide better BUT I am still happy that the DIS has a sponsor. If the DIS is happy then that is fine by me! I mean who really cares if someone is unhappy? Such unhappy folks don't pay the bills do they?

The UG was the first guide book I bought back in '97. I've purchased 3 more UG books through the years and have really enjoyed them.:mickeybar , read them from cover to cover! I'm thankful to have the DIS boards free to all and think this is a great match

The UG and the Dis board have made my Disney experiences wonderful things to remember! I would not have had such a great time or saved the money I saved without each of them!

I think putting the two together makes all the sense in the World!

Thanks to both! ::yes::

The 2004 UG was my valentines present so I'm thrilled they are now sponsors.:D

Reading the responses, it looks like the UG being an official sponsor is very well recieved.:D
