Anyone recently book a studio at BWV in Oct.?

I currently have a post on the rent/trade board looking to rent points to stay in a studio at BWV in late Oct. It's not quite at the 7 month mark so I'm limited to BWV owners. Anyways, I was just curious if anyone has booked a studio recently at BWV for Oct. or if it was all booked up already? Since it's during Food and Wine Festival I'm concerned about availability at the 7 month mark. Should I be?

I just booked Oct 8 & 9 in a BWV PV studio. According to the CM, it was the last one. Those days lead up to Columbus Day weekend, and here in NY, schools will have off Oct 8 for Jewish holiday. I booked at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 10. HTH.

Thanks! We're wanting to go the last week of October or second to last week, so we'd be missing Columbus Day weekend. Hopefully that will help our chances. Do you think that the studios go quicker than the 1bdrm units? I'd be willing to try a 1 bdrm, but DH doesn't want to pay the extra for it if we can get a studio instead.

Obviously BWV and BCV are popular during F & W Festival time. How about OKW? Would I have any trouble getting a reservation there past the 7 month mark if nothing becomes available at BWV? Or do DVC members that rent their points ever put a renter on the "waitlist"? I'd be willing to book OKW now and then wait list BWV. What are my chances that something would open up over the next 7 months? But then do you have an issue with the number of points needed since BWV takes more points. Yeah, they probably would do the wait list for a renter now that I think about it. Unless the points needed for either location were the same or close to it. The difference in points needed between BWV and OKW for the week we want is 24.

I booked last week for Oct 17-21 in a studio. Got preferred view. I had tried for Oct 10-12 but Oct 12 was completely booked.

If I remember correctly, there weren't any one bedrooms left either weekend. I was happy to get the studio.

I was only able to get one of my nights for a studio at the BWV in Oct. I tried to book in Feb. as I own at BWV. I'm waitlisted for the rest of my stay.

We have a preferred view studio booked at BWV from October 1-8. We own at SSR/OKW, so we couldn't call until the 7 month window.

Most people do the day to day booking for busy resorts, but we didn't book until March 7th. We called at 8am Chicago time and got the first 6 days, no waitlist. Then we called the next morning to add on the last day and got it with no waitlist.

So there you have it. We called at the 7 month window and got our full reservation with no waitlist. Hope that gives you some hope.

I dunno. I booked the opening of F&W fest easily at 7 mos. but that was late September. I think before Columbus Day it is fairly easy, but anything post-Oct 12 are very demanded.

I called on Monday (3/10) to book a studio for Oct 7-10 and was told there were none available for those dates at BWV, BCV, or VWL. I booked at OKW to save points, although I was offered SSR or AKV savannah view also.

Yes, about 1 month ago I booked a standard view studio at the BW for Oct 9 - 12th. Good luck

while we own @ BWV, i need to use our WLV points to book the end of October (5 nights beginning 10/18)

i checked last week, no studios (any views) available only OKW, SSR & "some" of the dates @ AKV

good luck though! i assume there's always some shuffling around of availability once the 7 month window hits

I tried to book a trip to BCV & BWV during Oct 4-12. Only a couple days were available during that time. Took a chance, but had to reserve our trip at our home resort at SSR. All is good!

Called for WL today for October 11 (check out on the 12th) Didn't call until 1:00 EST. Got my WL room, CM said she's spent a lot of today disappointing people who wanted BWV or BCVs. But availability does change.

I have my preferred view studio @ BWV for the 4 nights starting Wed, Oct 8th but I can't get a room for Sun, Oct 10th and Mon, Oct 11th. I am on the wait list. ixiedust:

I managed to get a studio in the Hospitality area @ OKW.
