Anyone just have an appetizer/drink at Mizner's Lounge at GF?

Myself and a couple of friends are thinking of starting off our night here...thought it would be nice to sit here and have a drink and maybe an appetizer before heading out for the night. Anyone ever been here? Are the appetizers good? Is it a nice quaint spot?

I haven't been since 2005 but it is very nice. I don't recall seeing any appetizers but we did see (and drink) the drinks! It was very cozy and they had the band playing right around the corner.
It was a lovely evening!

I have read that you can get appetizers from Citricos, but have not tried to do that myself.

DH and I did this the night before our wedding (drinks, not food). It's a lovely spot and we're planning to stop back there in about 2 weeks!

REALLY??? How would I find out if this is indeed true? That would be great! I see here on the Dis that there are 3 items that are offered....shrimp, and oinion tart and cheese selection. Although that sounds very nice the appetizers at Citrico's look great as well!

I don't know, as I have never tried to do it myself, nor do I remember where I read it. All you can do is ask there, or find someone who's actually done it.

I am not sure if they have appetizers, but we do enjoy having a cocktail there before we have our dinner at Narcoossee's. It is a very elegant and nice atmosphere.

If there is a table service next to a lounge, you can usually order appys or sometimes the full menu there. We have done it several times. Most recently at the Tune In lounge next to Prime Time Cafe.

I'm doing a solo trip and wondered if I could just sneak into the lounge and have appy's for dinner without an ADR. Is that possible?

You don't need an ADR to eat at the bar. Lounges don't take ADRs. You don't have to sneak in, either. All you have to do is find an empty barstool, which can be difficult enough.

We love going to the mezner lounge for a drink and to listen to the big band play. We're going in 17 days and going to see if we can get apps from citricos so I'll report back.

OK...well curiosity got the best of me and I called the lounge today! They only offer 3 appetizers (the ones that are posted here on the menu page). The appetizers that are offered are actually from Citrico's! So...although you are not ordering from teh Citrico menu you are getting appetizers off their menu in a sense. The CM told me that if I wanted to order appies from Citrico's are Narcoossee's and bring them into the lounge that was not a problem...she even went as far as to say "heck if you want to bring in a pizza while wearing flip flops that is more than fine with us!! We just want you to come and enjoy yourselves"!!

So there you have it! I can't wait to go in DEC!!

Artisian Cheese Selection - Assorment of different cheeses. -
Sauteed Shrimp - Served with lemon, white wine and feta cheese. -

And then some sort of crab one. I went to Deb's site and looked up the Citrico's menu...there is a crab app described there!
