Anyone have the SSR photo session done?

I can't find anyone on the resorts' board who've had the photo session done, so I thought I'd try over here on the DVC board since SSR is one of our DVC resorts. We have this scheduled for Dec. 2nd and I really was hoping for some personal information.

Has anyone had the photo session done there? How were the photographers? How did the photos come out? How many pictures did you have taken? Where did they take the photos? Was it worth it?

Have you tried the SSR Lovers and-or Owners thread? Somewhere I saw some nice photos that someone had done with the Photopass photo session, and I think it might have been on that thread.

We had a SSR photo session this summer. We scheduled it for the first thing in the morning. Our photographer had 3 main areas that he used to take pictures. One by the golf course bridge, an area in the trees and the final area was by the fountain and the pool. We had over 100 photos to choose from. Some were near duplicates but maybe different expressions on the kids faces. We had family groups and individual shots taken. In some of the close up shots, you really couldn't see the background, so the photo could have been taken anywhere almost.

There is another thread that several families posted their SSR sessions and they had different backgrounds than us. It depends on the photographer you get.

overall, we were pleased with the photos taken for the price and time taken. We prepurchased the photopass CD, so he added the photos to our photopass card.

If you want a certain location, you can always request to have pictures taken at a certain location.

We had a resort photo shoot a few years back when we got married. The photographer had certain places she wanted to do, and then there were a couple of suggestions we had, and they were happy to do it. But, i assume it all depends on the amount of time they have allocated, i would mention the location you want towards the beginning of the shoot.
