A friend of mine gave me lots of individual pouches of pie filling in various flavors and I was looking for a recipe for anything but pies that I could use this in (I will also post on the recipe board) so as not to waste it...always try to be budget conscious and I have learned so much on these boards...thanks in advance!

I have a super easy coffee cake recipe for pie filing. I will look it up when I get home and post it. It's 1 thing of pie filing, 1 yellow cake mix, and some crumble topping. I don't like to cook or bake- so it has to be easy and it is.

Cobbler (top with biscuits & bake), ice cream topping, topping for pancakes or waffles.

I use apple pie filling in my bread pudding recipe.

10 pcs bread, cut into cubes

Mix together:
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs

put bread in clow cooker, cover with milk mixture, stir until all pcs of bread are covered.

add 1 to 1 1/2 cans of apple pie filling (I suppose you could use other flavors)
mix in gently.

cook on low for 3 hours.

serve with whipped cream or your favorite lemon sauce

enjoy!

(you can also add raisins, if you like).

good luck!

Tortilla Dessert

3 cans (or pouches) of desired pie filling (we use peach, apple, and cherry)
flour tortillas

Put 1 type of pie filling on a flour tortilla and roll up. Place in deep baking pan with the rolled edge down. Alternate the 3 fillings in the pan until the pan is full.

Mix together the following ingredients and microwave until the mixture comes to a boil and is completely dissolved.
2 sticks margarine
1 1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup water

Pour the mixture over the tortillas and let sit for 40 minutes.

Mix together the following ingredients and then sprinkle on top of the tortillas.
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Bake 50 minutes at 350.

Top with ice cream if desired.

Here is an awesome one. Brown 4 - 5 pork chops in skillet. Place them in a baking dish (I put 4 in a 8X8 pyrex pan). Put one can of apple pie filling on top. Then, prepare Stove top stuffing, put on top of the apples and pork chops. Heat in a 350 oven for 50 minutes. Enjoy. It is INCREDIBLE!! Let me know if you make it and if you enjoy it! :thumbsup2

I was going to suggest the same thing, but with cherry filling!

1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
4 pork chops

DIRECTIONS:
Pour cherry pie filling into slow cooker. Add pork chops and stir to coat with filling. Cover and cook on low all day. Cook until meat is no longer pink inside and thermometer reads 160 to 170 degrees F

This is so good and easy!!

Get a apple crisp recipe and cover it with the topping....no crust needed.

DUMP CAKE

1. Dump two cans of pie filling (any flavor) into tinfoiled & greased cake pan or dutch oven.
2. Dump 1 box cake mix over the top (any flavor). DO NOT STIR!!, just break up big lumps and smooth out.
3. Dump 1 can of soda (any flavor) over the top. DO NOT STIR!!

Cook at 350 for 30-40 minutes. Can be made in the oven at home, or use a dutch oven over a campfire. Kids love to make this recipe!

Our personal favorite - cherry pie filling, yellow cake (white is too sweet), & Cherry Coke.

CHERRY BROWNIES
1. Make your favorite brownie mix. Decrease the liquid/oil and instead add one can of cherry pie filling.

DUMP CAKE A little different than other one

1 can apple pie filling
1 can crushed pineapple (drained)
1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick margarine

In a 9x13 pan pour pie filling and pineapple, spread evenly.
Pour cake mix on top, spread evenly
Cut stick of butter into 20 slices and lay evnely spaced on cake mix.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until slightly browned.

Similar to the others, but w/ blueberry...

in a 9x13 pan, first layer blueberry pie filling. Then layer 1 lrg can of crushed pinapple (drained, but reserve the juice). Then layer 1 yellow cake mix. Next, 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Finally, melt 1/2 stick butter (recipe calls for 1 stick but I use less & I also use lowfat margarine). Mix melted butter w/ reserved pineapple juice & pour over the top. Bake @ 350 degrees for 50 minutes. YUMMY!

You can also do this w/ cherry, but we love the blueberry more.

fake cobbler:

1 box yellow cake mix
any flavor pie filling (I use 2 cans)
1 stick margarine

In 9 x 13 pan:
Put pie filling in pan.
Pour dry cake mix on top.
Slice one stick of margarine or butter on top of cake mix.
Bake at 350 for about 25 min.

I love cherry, I have also had apple. I am sure any flavor is good.

That was a Pillsbury bake off winner (or runner up) years ago. Add a little almond extract if you have it.

I just love when there is a recipe thread! So many great ideas and these all look so good & easy, too! I'm going to try the pork chop/apple/stuffing recipe & the blueberry Dump cake recipe when we get back from WDW!

Thanks all!;)

Thanks guys! The dump cake sounds delicious and easy and the pork chop recipe sounds great also--don't know if I could get my picky eater to try this but DH and I certainly will. Thanks again.

Kilee...thanks in advance for looking for the coffee cake recipe!
