Anyone ever bite into a mystery item at a restaurant?

about 15 years ago my DH and I went to dinner at Houlihan's with his cousin and wife. we had been to this particular Houlihan's many times with no issue until that night. His cousins wife ordered a chicken ceasar salad and had eaten almost all of it and then she noticed something funny at the bottom of the bowl...it was a large dead cricket covered in salad dressing . The waitress and manager were very apologetic and the manager told us that the salad comes bagged and it must have been in the bag. He comped the entire meal.

about 20 years ago when I was working in a doctors office there was one doctor (the practice had 4) that had crohns disease so he was usually pretty careful and picky about what he ate because he had so many stomach issues. Anyway there was a local chinese place that he used to order his lunch from a few times a week. One day while he was eating lunch in the office "lunchroom" he had eaten about 1/2 of his sesame noodles (the same thing he ate every time he ordered from them) and found a dead cockaroach. The gross part was that this happened to him TWICE and he still kept ordering from that place:scared1:!

....guess he was a glutton for punishment....:confused3

Yep. I once ordered a salad at Bennigans, and bit down on a metal Hello Kitty earring. I showed it to the waiter, and he thought it was funny. He said he would investigate and come back. Long story short, it turned out to be the chef's earring. The worst part was that it was missing a rhinestone eye so I must have swallowed it!

The manager never apologized. He just asked if I wanted something else, which I did NOT. I did email corporate, they sent me a gift card which was supposedly worth $40. When we went to use it a few weeks later we found it only had $15 on it. What a joke. We never did return.

My friend once ordered a salad at a locally owned restaurant. She asked for the dressing on the side. When she went to pour the dressing on her salad she found a piece of chewed gum in it! If that doesn't make you gag, I don't know what will!

At least it was BEFORE she ate it... We went to our "favorite" Mex place a couple of years ago. Chips and Salsa had been refilled and as I got to the BOTTOM of the bowl of salsa, there was a piece of chewed gum.... Talk about wanting to puke.
Our Meal was comped too and we didn't go back for a LONG time.

Unfortunately, I've got a WDW story. A few years ago, we decided to have desserts at Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT. I cut my DS's brownie into bite size pieces. While eating it, he went to pick up a piece and another piece came off the plate with it. They were connected by a long hair. EWWWWWW
