Good Morning,

Has anyone else stayed at Paradise Village Beach Resort and Spa in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.

Someone did post that it is about 20 minutes from the airport, and the grounds are beautiful. What I also need to know is if there is enough to do for my 3 children, 16, 14, 12.

How is the surrounding area, if I do need to take a bus are they reliable?

Thanks for now, I'm sure I will pick your brain on more things.

It is about 12 minutes from the airport which is north of town. The main thing to do is the beach but there are a number of excursions, fishing trips, island trips, etc from the resort. Other than the fairly small mall and gold course, there's not a lot in walking distance. The busses are very reliable and easy to use though you actually have to change busses to get all the way into town, total cost about $1.5 or so per person each way.

There is a nice Spa, free bogie boards and the like. The kids can wander safely within reason. I sent you an email with some more additional info and suggestions last night.

How is the golf course and do you know how much it is?

Do they have kids programs? Are the excursions to the ruins, natural water park?

How about the cost to fly there, I've been checking and it seems very high. $600 per person. If so that is way over my head.

I don't think there's much for ruins or water parks in the area. It seems you're thinking of the Cancun area.

You can get the fees and the like at El Tigre . When we were there in 2003, I think the lowest I saw from our part of the country was $800, it was usually more in the high $800's most of the time prior. We used FF miles for four people. Kids club info

Thanks Dean for all your advice, but I think it will cost too much for flights from NJ, for aour family of 5. Seems like about $2500-$3000. A little high concidering we have a DS looking at colleges in 2 years.

Maybe when he's gone. ::yes::

Anyway, I'll be looking at Cancun next.

Cancun will be a little less. It's less of a MX feel but a nice first trip to get one started. Also lots to do and great restaurants. Still, I doubt you'll find air that much cheaper unless you do a charter. Same for Aruba though you might find it for as low as $425-450 if you're lucky.
