Anyone else receive someone else's reservation info by mail?

Today I got what should have been my DVC reservation info, but it was to my address with someone else's name. I opened it before noticing that, and found a reservation that's not mine. A lovely reservation, boy oh boy am I jealous, but not mine. Interestingly, it's the same number of people as mine, and one of them shares a first name with one of the people on our trip. But still, not mine.

So now I get to wait until tomorrow to call with feedback for them and to request my OWN reservation...

So now I wonder...who got mine?

Theirs is actually much sooner than our trip. But someone seriously messed up by putting someone's name with my address. Not good!

And here I've been praising MS...that'll teach me, eh?

I have been receiving another family's mailed reservation confirmations and any pre-trip literature for years. Have tried many times to get this corrected, but to no avail. I feel bad as they are not receiving the pre-trip vacation information sent out by Disney and the excitement that goes with receiving this mail.

First I'm really surprised that this could happen. And I'm even more surprised that disfan100 could receive someone's reservation information but not any other DVC mail for the same people. I wouldn't think that MS would have two addresses for one person.

How frustrating that you can't MS to straighten it out.

To the OP, hopefully you are not at the beginning of getting someone else's reservations forever. And good luck with your call to MS tomorrow. I wouldn't expect that there is any problems with your own reservation and the confirmation will come in a couple of days. Did you already get the email confirmation?

I requested a mailed confirmation for two of the reservations, and email for the third. I got the first letter, got the email, so I've been waiting on the second part (reservation made on the 18th).

They've changed the paper from our last reservations (made in April or so last year) and they're offering the email instead of letter, so I figured they've changed the procedure. Seems maybe they have to do it manually? I figure the rep got the two reservations mixed up when she did the letter (or put the computer form to have someone else do it?)....

The confusion was made worse with the same # and same name issue on the reservation. Seems simple mix-ups are always made bigger for me by things like that (not with DVC, this is the first one, but mixups with amazon shipping, etc).

I've never got someone else's reservation, but we did get someone else's contract to sign when we were adding onto VWL years ago.

I once got our confirmation letter for a trip, but inside the envelope there was another confirmation for another family.

Sounds like they are no stranger to mailing mixups!

I just called, and they were mystified how my address ended up on someone else's confirmation. I gave them the woman's name and area code, and so hopefully that person on the east coast will get HER confirmation soon. And I should be sent my entire confirmation. And since "my" CM was new, and was going to take it to her manager to figure out, if there's an ongoing problem, maybe it'll get taken care of. That's me, Ms pie in the sky pollyanna, thinking that problems will get solved because of me.

I recieved some ones tax form for their loan through DVC and it had alot of personal info on it. I am honest and destroyed the document after calling DVC. but what if some one not honest got my info they have my SS number and address and what ever other info that was on it. When I called they sounded as if this is not a big deal, that they will send out the other persons papers at once.
