Anyone else a shy about posting?

I'm shy and don't like controversy so I rarely reply to anything in the debate threads. Plus I posted once about a problem and got ripped. I didn't enjoy that so I rarely post

I've been here since 98 so I guess the answer would be not shy. One of my students has an Aunt who takes her to Disney every year and I call her "Aunt Disney".

Me too! I've often started to type something and then stopped, thinking that it sounds stupid. {In fact, I'm probably going to start thinking that right now, so I'd better post it now!}

Today is the first time I've tried quoting! But I agree with so much of what you guys have said! I frequently type out a reply and then cancel out without posting it! I usually decide that I'm not adding a lot to the conversation. Like right now!!

You guys all seem so nice and have inspired me to jump in and reply more often!

The thought of starting a debate scares me!!

Not so much shy about it as maybe...selective. I don't know, sometimes I post, sometimes I don't, guess it just depends on whether I feel like I have anything worth typing or not and whether I want to bother with a thread or not. I was a lurker forever before I even bothered registering a SN. I love these boards though, lots of good stuff on here and nice people

Yep, I'm shy and yes, it does keep me from posting very often except on the Cheerleader thread.

I think my problem is that i dont feel the need to tell EVERYONE what color, size, shape and smell was in my toilet this morning, and then ask everyone how to combat the odor......The things people post here...I just dont get it!!

I don't feel shy answering posts or providing answers to specific questions, but I do feel weird starting them. I certainly don't feel interesting enough to talk about my daily activities so I don't post them. I figure why would anyone want to hear what I ate for lunch, who bugged me at work, etc...I'm always surprised how confident some people are when talking about their daily lives. However some posters do have a captive audience here. I guess once you establish that its easy to talk about yourself.

I don't know that it's really shyness, but for the most part I don't feel like I have alot to add so I just read the threads. I am playing more of the games than I used to. Trying to become more involved in the community.

I don't think anyone would say that I'm shy. I do find that I mostly reply to other posts, though, instead of starting one of my own.
