I just noticed that I reached my 160th post. :cool1: Here's the kicker, I have been a member since 1999.

I come on these boards everyday, just love them but have a hard time posting, pitiful isn't it? I am so shy even on the computer, maybe I should change my name to "Bashful".

Me shy??? :rotfl:

I am fairly shy in real life but on the DISboards I let my extroverted side come out to play!!! :)

I think my problem is that i dont feel the need to tell EVERYONE what color, size, shape and smell was in my toilet this morning, and then ask everyone how to combat the odor......The things people post here...I just dont get it!!

I lurked for years (under a different user name) and I guess it was a form of shyness that kept me from posting. :confused3

After I got remarried, I created my new username, I decided to jump right in. I'm glad I did too because it's really a lot more fun than just lurking.

I'm shy in real life, but not on here... nobody knows who I am, so what do I care... actually, I'm not shy in real life unless I know I'll have to see someone again...I've done some pretty goofy things.

Jump on in, Shirley!! :Pinkbounc

Like you, my post count isn't extremely high given the amount of time I've been here, but once you start getting comfortable, it's a piece of cake!

Most of the posters here are very nice and very welcoming.

I lurked for two and a half years, but have been posting since January.
I am not sure if the delay was the result of shyness or laziness. It does take more time and effort for me to post rather than just reading the threads I am interested in.

I mostly try to stay away from the controversial threads unless there is a direct link to my own personal experience. I have enough conflict in my life as it is. I don't have enough energy for much conflict here.

Yep! I'm shy too!

I come here everyday, and have since I joined. I recognize posters by their name, and even feel like I know many of them...but they don't know me because I rarely post. Pathetic isn't it? Oh well.....I'm posting now! I'm glad you asked the question!!

Why not? You tell ME! :love2:

Thanks Dan. That was my daughter when she was 2 years old (and one of my favorite pictures), she is now graduating from college.

You're puppy is sooo adorable!

anut4disney - I'm so shy in real life that I've been told many times that I'm a snob just because I'm not quick to socialize with people that I barely know. I'm pretty shy on the boards, too, but I'm warming up.

I am very shy in real life, but on the DIS, i go crazy! :rotfl:

Congratulations on 160 + posts! :teeth:

Ditto!

Not too shy to post just like to keep things light here for the most part.

Myst

Yup me too. I love to lurk here, but I'm quite shy about posting.

I'm a lot more shy on here than I am in real life. I have no idea why.

Well I guess the opposite of quite a few others around here. I'm not a bit shy in real life but always a bit shy and hesistant to post around here. I think it's because of the vast amount of intelligent people that are here I don't think I have a whole lot to contibute. This a great place with lots of nice people but can be a tad intimidating. I'm trying to think of this place as not full of strangers but people whose names I can't remember. :)

I fit more into this classification too. I've started posting a little more frequently onto others' threads since I'm a new SAHM, but the only time I start a new thread is when I need advice and/or have a question (e.g. Is the Count a Vampire? Have you ever ordered from the Oriental Trading Co.? Advice on a 3 hour time change with a one year old, etc.)

Amy :)
