Anyone done an A & K tour?

I know I've seen people talk about other tour companies when I've been here researching ABD tours. My friends are both 67 and not into Disney. They are looking at an Abercrombie & Kent tour to China. I'd appreciate some feedback if anyone has taken an A & K tour. Thanks!

My parents took A&K for an african safari. They said it was first class all the way and they loved every bit of it. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them. HTH

This does present an image issue that I encounter every once in a while when I talk about Adventures by Disney---I have to always describe how it is a land tour, with Disney's attention to detail but it isn't "Disney-fied" with characters or theme park tie-ins etc. We've been on tours with all ages--and I don't think "being into Disney" really matters! But all that said--lots of great tour groups out there (new trips just announced by Tauck, for instance).

Not trying to change thier mind but ABD does offer Adult only trips, I have been on 3 ABD's, 1 was only 1 child, 1 had a few kids and they were fine but i also did an adult only and that was great, most of ABD itineraries have at least one adult only tour.

I've done 4 ABD's, and 3 of them were Adults Only.

That said, to answer the question, I have not been on a tour with A & K, but they have an excellent reputation. Lots of other companies compare themselves to A & K. They also tend to be extremely pricey.
