Anybody Looked At Mousesavers This Morning

Can you get the "new deal" if there is no availablity at your resort? From what I can tell on the Disney site WL is booked for at least part of our stay.

Just to plan ahead - can you be flexible on your dates, room category or resort? I like checking expedia to see how full a resort is, although I'm not sure Disney releases all availability to show on expedia, but it's easier to see what specific days are booked in a given category. Disneyworld.com just comes back with yes it's available or no it's not. Usually if a resort category is pretty full, you're not likely to see a very discounted deal apply there.

a "$50 off a 3night/4day MYW package

Let's hope it's better than that. That doesn't seem like it would drum up much business and hardly worth their advertising money.

I still don't care what it is, if it saves more than the about $200 I'm getting with a AAA room only discount, and available for my dates - I'm in :)

Oh, and it seems to me that the discount always starts on a given day as of the start of business hours. So if it's not there in the morning you can probably relax until the next day.

MAYBE They are gonna offer free dining with a package booked in a Moderate or better! Just a thought. I am just speculating, just thought of this! I mean they did offer this once before, so obvioulsly it is not totally out of the quesion! I just cannot wait anymore! :hyper:

Thanks for your response! Chef Mickey's was one of the ones that looked interesting to me. Do you have to pay a deposit or anything when you make the reservations? What if I make them and then want/need to cancel - is there a penalty? Thank you so much for your help! :)
The only meals that require a deposit are the character breakfast/lunch at Cinderella's castle and the dinner shows (like Hoop De Doo). Regular character meals (Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, etc) do not require a deposit, and you are not penalized for cancelling, or even for just not showing up. Of course, if you find you're not going to make it, you *should* cancel so someone else can have an ADR. :flower:

Hey everyone! Read mousesavers ... no more details, but a pretty good read nonetheless. Even a mention of your chicken little hypothesis! :)

Mary, if you read this (which apparently you're here somewhere!:)) I think the poster about you making the announcement up was just joking! Please don't take offense! As far as I'm concerned, we appreciate the hope regardless of what it is, and can't wait until your next update (related to this or otherwise)! Thanks for the clarification though!

Still waiting patiently...... :goodvibes

I'm new at this, did not know about codes and paid rack rate on my previous trips. Where do we look at 7:00 AM, Mousesavers, Disney, here, or should I call Disney? I booked through WDW Travel Co. directly due to an incentive program we are using, so I have no travel agent.

Thanks!

OK, I just spoke to TA sales to confirm what I am allowed to say. :) Yes, what Mary has posted on the littlebird page is what is currently slated for releas. They still have not released all disclaimers and it is subject to change or being pulled all together. It is NOT for a week, it is for less than a week. The exact length was a detail I was asked not to confirm because they could change it.

As of now it is set to be released on 9/29. That is of course subject to change or not being released at all. :cool1:

Thanks for the info Lollipop Mom!

And Mary if you read this - your site is wonderful (and commercial free)! Please don't take any offense at anything said here.

If you are staying a week or longer, does that mean you won't be able to use the discount/package? Or will it be flexible enough to apply to longer stays?

Thanks Lollipop Mom,

I hope to see you at the GF. We'll be in SL Dec. 5-9. I have as DS3 also. He is going crazy waiting to go to Mickey's House!

I am very curious to know this one myself..we have 7 nights at the GF and would love ANY discount! :goodvibes

That isn't a detail they have confirmed yet. We were told it would be "$999 for a family of 4 (2A/1J/1C) for X nights in a value resort with X+1 day base tickets" (again, less than a week but unable to give you what X= ;) ).

I am sure it is going to be flexible enough for longer says though. I can't see them saying "we can't let you come for 7, 8, 10 nights...it has to be 4, thanks though!" ;) It's just the lead in base price for advertising. :)

How does one take advantage of these deals if they become available with our trips already booked?

I mean could I just call Disney and give them my reservation number and the code and see what can be done, or will I be expected to be more knowledgeable about what can be done?

Because I haven't a clue. I don't go to Disney often, but I would like to take advantage of a deal should one arise.

Thanks for your clarification. I kind of figure that it would be an offer to "entice" people to visit. I would THINK they would offer something similar for longer stays, in fact, maybe encouraged! :goodvibes

I am just crossing my fingers and toes that this "rumor" DOES happen!
Anything and everything helps! :teeth: :cool1:

Thanks. How would that affect families with more than four people ~ like mine? And was the 4 a slip? ;)

Well my 45 day out payment w/AAA is due on Wednesday. So any changes after that will cost me $50. I guess I hope this will save me more then double that for the trouble. We are booked at WL for the 12-17th.a

Regardless of any package discount, Mary Waring on Mousesavers has saved me literally thousands of dollars over the past few years. I would encourage everyone that is looking for a wonderful package rate to go and read everything that she to say. There are so many ways to get the cost of your vacation down and she does it simply and effectively. You could save tons on your airfare, food and room. Packages are fine, but in my personal experience, AAA or Annual Passholder Rates on the hotel and paying out of pocket for the other stuff can be more cost effective. I was also told by my friend at CRO that there would be a good package, but don't hold your breath for a knock your socks off deal and that it would be out probably by the end of the week. It may benifit some, and not others, but congrads to those that it does, and to those that it doesn't read about other deal or savings. Also, look at the budget board on this site. Many people have fabulous tricks to budgeting both at home and at Disney. Good luck to everyone!

375+ posts as of monday. Wonder what thread she's referring to? :rolleyes1
