Anybody Looked At Mousesavers This Morning

To answer a PM here too...It will of course be available to all party sizes, not just a family of 4 and I am sure they will honor it for longer stays as well. I can't see them saying we'd love to have you stay for 7 nights but you must only stay for X nights. That is a detail not yet confirmed yet. I can't see them not honoring it for longer than X stays (remember the free dining promo had a family of 4 could stay, play and eat for $XXX for 3 nights but you could book it for more than 3 nights). The disclaimers haven't been released yet so we can't say with 100% certainty but I would bet that it will be available for X nights or longer. I just can't say what X is...but it's not 6 nights/7 days as in the $1500 ads that have been out since the release of Magic Your Way. I will say this, for the family mentioned (2A,1J,1C) at Pop Century in the value season dates, it works out to where the savings from this deal is GREATER than the savings of a AAA discount at a value resort. So if you have a AAA pacakage booked, this will still save you some.

The big thing to remember is that the disclaimers haven't been released to anyone yet. We don't know if the pricing will be the same for the regular season dates as the value season dates. It is still subject to change and it is still subject to being pulled all together.

So sit tight till Wed, hopefully we'll ge the full details by then, if not then Thursday morning we'll all know. :sunny:

Unfortunately, we are traveling 10/19 - 10/23 so if the dates are correct, we'll miss it by a week. However, if those who are flexible change their dates, then maybe some other AAA rooms will open up and it will be a win/win for everyone! So, even though it probably won't help me, I can't stand the suspense!

(make that post #423 and counting)

OK... I've done my math.... I have no idea if I'm right so please correct me if I'm not... (I have already edited and recalculated twice!)

$999 family of 4 for 4 nights would equal $1500 per week (6 nights). This is the same as the typical $1500 offer that is out there now. No savings.

$999 family of 4 for 5 nights would equal $1200 per week (6 nights). This is a $300 savings over the $1500 offer that is out there now. 20% savings.

Questions include: Are there other amenities included in the deal we don't know about? (Dining, park hopping, etc.) Is the 20% discount also available for the dining package? Guess we'll wait and see!

Patiently waiting for more final and complete info!

Ran a few numbers. Ran it based on a 5 day package and 6 day base tickets (X+1) mentioned by Lollipop Mom.

Value Resorts are in Regular Season 10/5-11/26 and are $99 per night. They are value season 11/27-12/19 and are $79 per night. It is Holiday Season starting 12/20 at $119 per night.

So 5 days: Regular$99 x 5 = $495
Value is $79 x 5 = $395
Holiday is $119 x 5 = $595

Base Tickets (6 days): Adult is $201
Child is $ 163
So, if you add the Value Room rate of $395 plus tickets (2 adults, 1 child, 1 junior (would be at adult rate, yes?) is $766 for a total of $1161.

If the package is $999, then that is a savings of $162.

no, the lead in rate of $999 includes a room in a value resort and MYW base tickets. that's it. Upgrades to the tickets or to the package can be added at the regular price on top of the discounted package. So For park hopping ($37.28 w/ tax pp) the family of 4 would then pay $1148.12. :)

Thanks, as ALWAYS, for the great information. Do you think it will be a better deal for the Deluxes vs a AAA package (plus dining)? And, I was kidding about the 4. Did you get my PM about changing the FMT?

Do you know if you can add the dining plan to this package? If not, I am not interested at all. I'm going to save BIG money with the dining plan (we're eating so many TS Character meals that it really will pay off for us). I've crunched numbers on the dining plan, and it is costing us $800 for 8 nights. Based on the current menus and prices, I'm estimating our food bill would be close to $1500 for a savings of $700! Plus we got the 15% discount on our concierge room through AAA.

That isn't a detail they have confirmed yet. We were told it would be "$999 for a family of 4 (2A/1J/1C) for X nights in a value resort with X+1 day base tickets" (again, less than a week but unable to give you what X= ;) ).

I am sure it is going to be flexible enough for longer says though. I can't see them saying "we can't let you come for 7, 8, 10 nights...it has to be 4, thanks though!" ;) It's just the lead in base price for advertising. :)

When we went in 2003 with the Fairy Tale Package it was also for a family of 4 - our family of five went for 7 nights and it still worked.

I wonder what the discount is coming off of?

I mean..yeah, you book a package you recieve a discount but disney has to itemize b/c people are going to want different numbers of days, both on room ressies and admisson tickets....so if the promotion package is tickets and room only, they both have to have an assigned value. So I'm wondering if the discount is coming off the room, the tickets, or both?

My best guess would be a discount on the room...but then again, I suppose part of the package deal could be MYW base tickets of x days and up at a lower rate. Alot of people were booking the "free dining" with one day base tickets (b/c there was no limitations on a number a days to get the deal) and exchanging them as a credit towards annual passes. If the basis of this deal is discounted passes...then booking the deal with minimal passes in order to get a discount would be moot b/c you dont recieve the value of the passes, only the exact amount you paid for them. Just a thought! Did it make sense?

I don't think there are very many TS restaurants that you can just count on walking into any more... the dining plan has really made them fill up. I'd make ADRs just in case. You might be pleasantly surprised on the character meals - when I called to make ADRs last week, some were very limited, but others (breakfast at Chef Mickey's, for example) were wide open.

What was interesting is that friends just came back for Disney 9/15 - 9/22 - They had made no ADR's before they left... Well they had no problem at all getting into restaurants... in fact the first night they had an early dinner (6pm) at one of the restaurants at GF. They were the only ones in the restaurant!

I know this is the off season... but all the warnings about restaurants being busy with free dining... they had problem.

Do you know if you can add the dining plan to this package?

Since they haven't given us the disclaimers, we can't say with 100% certainty that they will allow you to upgrade to MYW + Dining but I can't imagine they would say no to you asking to pay more. LOL Our sales manager did say that as they have it planned now (again, subject to change blah blah blah) you can add dining at the regular cost ($35/adult and $10/child) on top of it.

Do you think it will be a better deal for the Deluxes vs a AAA package (plus dining)?

I have no idea how it is going to work for anything other than the "Disney marketing family" who has 1 child over 10 and 1 between 3 & 9 who are at a value resort for X nights. We don't know how that discount will be broken down. To use your 5 night stay example from a few posts ago, the savings was $162 for 5 nights. We don't know how that $162 is divided up. Is it $32.40 off per night? is it $15 off per night and $X of per adult ticket then $x per child ticket? So I have no idea what to expect in terms of what pricing will be like for moderates and deluxes or even for values for longer than X nights.

I asked if this was a discount off of the room portion and was told no, it was a discount off of the package as a whole. So I don't feel like there is a way to accurately predict as of now. In past years the package discounts have been easy to predict because they were either tied to a room only discount and the package just had regular ticket prices built on top of that room discount or it was a buy 5 get 2 free (or buy 4 get 3 free) thing where it was easy to figure out. This MYW pricing makes it unclear.

*sigh* how confusing.

I can't imagine them setting up a package discount without specific assigned values...it will make booking variations very difficult. Unless its something like "book a minimum of 5 nites/5 base tickets for a family of four and get 15% off the total"......which sounds like a terrible marketing byline.

Thanks for the info. Guess we'll all find out on Wednesday or Thursday!

Unfortunately, we are traveling 10/19 - 10/23 so if the dates are correct, we'll miss it by a week.

Did I miss something? I didn't see the dates for the offer in any posts, just that it should be released 9/29 and the "booked by" date in Oct.

Well congrats to everyone who will be able to take advantage of this special. Unfortunately we won't be able to. Oh well. We're staying at CR and have no interest in changing to value resort.

Mousesavers.com stated that the check-in dates would be from 10/23 - 12/25.

Check there for any changes though! I know everything is always subject to change, etc, etc.....
