I guess my best bet is Target on Sunday.

I'm planning on going to Target.
The guy at Gamestop told me, that most people tell him they are camping out at best buy and Walmart.. so, I'm going with the fewer people.Target told me that they were getting some for the 17th.
I was thinking 3 or 4 am. It's a town of about 50,000... college town. What's everyone's gut tell them?
Midnight, wow.dturner said:As soon as DS(10) goes to sleep, I'll leave to go stand/sit in line at Target - probably around midnight on Saturday - I can't chance it since this is the only thing that DS(10) has talked about ALL YEAR LONG.

My seven year old wants two things.. a Nintendo Wii, and a hula hoop. At least he'll get the hula hoop.
I too, think this is probably the last chance I'll get. Too bad I don't have anyone around me, also as desperate (that I know, and like) .. we could keep each other company.

my4kids said:Ok, DS10 announced YESTERDAY that he wants a Wii. Normally I would say "yeah right" , but this is probably his last Christmas "believing" and he is just so sweet and unassuming about it. He said "what I really want is a Wii, but I know that probably won't happen" - So now I am a Mom in overdrive. I'm in. I'll be at Target Sat. night.
I need to be educated on what to get....so do any controllers come with the system? Do I have to buy them separate...does a game come with it? Can games from other systems be played on it?
TIA

Thanks

The controllers are also hard to find, so if you're thinking you may want to do some two-player stuff (you will because you will want to play too!), you should get at least one more controller. I purchased one from Amazon just tonight.
The other Nintendo games (Game Cube) can be played on it, but you'll need your Game Cube controllers because the wii controllers don't work with the old games.
You're so lucky your 10 yr old stil believes. Mine doesn't and it breaks my heart. I think my 7 yr old is about to give up to - darn it! But I still have my 4 yr old, doubtless child.![]()
