Annual Dues - Due date, past due date

In the past I've noticed a clause stating that dues are due by Jan 15 and considered past due after Feb 14. I don't see that this year. Just wondering as I usually pay in a few payment depending on when my income payments come. I'm retired so I have several sources of income at different dates, not a biweekly or weekly paycheque. Also have another trip (not dvc) to pay by January 6.

My dues statement says they are due on Jan 15 and considered past due after that date when I click on view disclaimers. I don't know if they're no longer allowing a 30 day grace period or not. Why not set up automatic monthly payments for your dues?

I too see no mention of the extra time…it might be worth a call to accounting for sure.

Or check, the FAQs?

I went to my Annual Dues Statement on the site and at the end it says

Payment Due: 01/15/2026
Amount Due: [I deleted amount}
Past Due After 02/14/2026
Amount Enclosed _____________________

Thus, it appears one still has until mid-Feb before it is deemed past due.

Also, I can add that the rule that has annual dues payable on Jan 15 but they will not be deemed late until mid-Feb is actually a rule stated in the By-Laws contained in the POS of each DVC Resort, and, as far as I am aware, nothing has been formally done to change that rule in the by-laws.. See, e.g., BWV By-Laws, §IV.1.A, where it provides that annual assessments. ( i.e., annual dues) "shall be due on the fifteenth day of January each year and shall be considered delinquent if payment has not been received on or before the fifteenth day of February each year."

Rex comes out of the toy box if not paid up by February 14th. Not party-saurus Rex either! Just, “You Aren’t My Valentine” Rex.

I'm Canadian, that would mean I have to set up a U.S. $ bank account. Not impossible, or even that hard to do, but I'm lazy and I procrastinate. ;)

Thank you…we have always taken advantage of the later date!

Set it and forget it 😂

That’s what we did with autopay. And anytime I’m sad about only owning 200 points I can look at that monthly dues bill under $150/month to cheer me up.
