Any Wii's out there??????

You know, the Wii is supposed to be plentiful compared to the PS3, but I already have 1 PS3 and I walked into Target this morning, and there was another on the shelf! Why can't the darn Wii be on the shelf.

I was in Target on Saturday at 1:00pm and saw 2 PS3' on the shelves - I said something to the associate and he said they had even more behind the counter.

I really, really thought people would be able to find the Wii's more that the PS3's - guess I was wrong.

And that bundle on Walmart.com shows in stock again until you add it to your cart that is - why don't they just take the thing off there - I thought I had it for a minute. DARN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't you have bought the 2nd PS3, sold it on Ebay, then used the profits to buy a Wii on Ebay? Just an idea. Probably not enough time to do all that at this point.

There are about twice as many Wii's than there are PS3s, but parents aren't trying to drop $700 on a PS3. Those that are dying to get a PS3 hard older gamers who have one if they want one. A lot of people that will buy a PS3 are waiting until there are ANY games released that are worth buying (like me maybe).

More people want a Wii right now than want a PS3.

That is totally what I would do at this point if I came across one. You might be close on time...but could swing it if you did a one day auction.

I did buy the one last week, but they are not selling for much anymore. The going prices in the last few days was about $650. I would only clear about $60 after all the fees, so it really wasn't worth the time it would take me to get it on there and get it shipped. I was hoping they were still going for a lot more but they weren't.

The one I saw this morning walked out the door about a minute after I saw it, and that was only the 20g one.

The ebay price for Wii's seems to keep escalating. I looked in on a few auctions this morning and they were upper 500 to low $600's.

I think the demand for the Wii's were very underestimated and the demand for the PS3' greatly overestimated - at least from what I've seen in the stores - I never expected to see a PS3 this past weekend especially in the middle of a Saturday afternoon.

Well of course...in the time that it took me to quickly finish up some wrapping I notice that eToys was selling the bundles...of course I missed it by a few minutes...hopefully I will still luck out...really hoping to get the one at Walmart.

My mom and I went Meijers to pick up a doggy purse I wanted (dont ask) :)

and my mom had said they had got some pink ds lite bundles in earlier , they were gone but I looked over to the next case, and there it was the WII , they had 2 of them and another lady bought the other one.

I am pretty happy with my find.

We are looking for a PS3 and not a Wii and you can not find either anywhere in our area. We are told that they might or might not have them on Sunday. However we are searching until we find one. I have checked everywhere for a PS3 so I think it all depends upon the location of where they are shipping. Good Luck to all.

I notice this morning CompUSA has the Wii listed as coming soon. Before today it said "sold out". I wonder what they think is soon LOL?

Update, now it says "sold out" again...

The saga continues. I was at Target again today, and they had PS3's again! 4 days in a row they have gotten them. Yetserday the guy told me he knew nothing about Sunday, but today he whispered that Sunday they would have some, less than 10 he thought. Possibly Saturday. He told me not to tell anyone LOL, but to come back Friday and he might have more details.

Also, they had both extra controllers in stock today, which I've never seen. So, I bought them on the hope I'd get a system this weekend!

Looks like Target is the best bet this weekend - I too was told last weekend that Target would have Wii's on the 17th - Sunday!

Check your local Costco's ours had PS3's today, but no Wii's they did say other locations might have the Wii's ours got 120 PS3's so we finally got ours. This is the actual store not the website.

Good Luck

I know Target told my son 2 weeks ago the 17th would be the last shipment for our Target.

My uncle just told me my cousin is looking for a Wii. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. I saw 2 PS3's in Target today but no Wii's of course.

If you are hoping to track down Nintendo's Wii at Best Buy, it looks like December 17th will be the day. From Best Buy's Retail Insider: "This upcoming week will supply all stores with additional units of the Nintendo Wii gaming system. All units which are delivered must be held until Dec. 17. Projected quantities are different for all stores and subject to change. (A minimum of 40 consoles is guaranteed)". The December 10th announcement goes on to point out why the Wii will be held in stock rooms until the 17th, mainly because it is the "last competitive weekend for holiday shopping."
