They were not available at midnight online from WM, so I am off right now to stand in my very creepy WM for 8 am sale.

I just called my Walmart. The Wii's are going on sale at 8 am . There have been people on line since 10 pm last night so EACH Wii that he has is already taken ! It was freezing here last night. I can't imagine these people staying out all night for this. I can't do that. And won't.

Same thing here. My DS17 called Wal-Mart at 10:00 and there were 9 Wii's and nine people in line for the 8:00 sale. This is just so crazy. All of those who are hording them should be shot! I refuse to purchase one from e-bay or an individual and if everyone else would do the same this would stop.

No luck. I was number 6 and they only had 4. At least the manager came on out shortly after 6:30 to give a card to the first 4, so I got to come on home before my kids knew I was gone. Dad getting them off to school would have been a huge surprise blower.

Has anyone seen the wii's in stock anywhere yet? I know that I read earlier that there should be plenty out before Christmas. I asked at my local Wal-Mart and they said they didn't know where they would have more. I would like to find the system but really don't want to spend the $$$ for a bundle.

TRUST ME NOW- U WILL FIND ONE. BUT...

*you have to get a few stores and call them every morning BANG on opening. Call them just before close as well. If you want call during the middle of the day.
*bit not right this one but it worked for me, if you strike up a convo with an employee who seems to be up for it ask them to call you specifically when they get them in and give them $20 for the privellege when they call.
*Just keep trying online as well.

The key is to keep trying and not to give up. I hear people saying 'oh i tried' after calling all of two stores. Theres literally hundreds of vendors. Find one which is not as big and that others dobnt think of. good luck - u WILL find one before xmas.

I was number 37 out of 30.... My dh was 11 out of 8.... But we didn't get there till 7:30.... Just couldn't bring myself to get there at 5AM... That would have been the best time.... Oh well, Maybe next time....

Wii success at Walmart this morning!

Our Wal-Mart had 31. DH got in line at 3:15 am. He was the first person to settle by the door (with folding chair and sleeping bag) although others arrived before him and were waiting in their cars. Person #31 got in line at 5:30am.

When Wal-Mart opened at 7:00 he received a "Wii ticket" and was directed back to layaway where the sales would occur. I took his place in line at about 7:20 so he could go to work. Everything was peaceful, friendly, and orderly. I'd say two-thirds of the people in line were moms and dads; the rest were young adults.

At 8:00 sharp the registers were ringing and I was out of there by 8:10. Hurray! What a relief. Yippee!

edit: on viewing that website it doesnt update often enough, but is a good place to click to view sites quickly to see if their stock is in rather than typing address into the address bar, find a wii page etc.

And on looking WOW they really are as popular as xbox360's! even my badboy gaming link that always has everything turned me down.

Why dont yall try Canada? Canadian gaming stores are usually good and one of the last places people look.

www.videogamesplus.ca is usually good but not this time round, but hey its a start.

WOW you are lucky...I got to one Walmart this morning at like 7:00 and they had JUST ran out of tickets...had I gotten up a few minutes earlier I would have scored...

Dh said people got thier tickets lastnight at 11. From what he said they had signs that said to wait outside, and employees told them to wait in the garden section. He got number 8 then walked around from 3:30 to 7:30. He has walmart memorized. I guess somepeople that came after him waited outside and a few asked and went to the garden center. When he checked out at 8:00 they were still trying to figure out how to pass out the last 15 out of 30 tickets. They had escorts walking them out and did'nt even bother putting them in bags I hate lying but I told the kids he did'nt get one. Well, technically they asked at 7:58 so I guess thats not a lie. THe grandparents are coming this weekend so atleast they get to open it early.
