Any ROFR news?

Yeah!!! AmyBeth...you are a trooper and best of all we will be neighbors at BWV!!!! :D

I am happy for you!!!!

I know this time is it...maybe BWV was meant to be for your family.

What is the website that has the pictures of BWV? Deb wills' site? Can you LMK so I can see those pictures.

Mike (Carlos) have you decided your next plan of action yet...or are you going to wait till the storm settles down?

Kathleen

Kathy,

We're going to do something, just not sure what yet. Maybe I'll join you and Amy at BWV. Who knows.

The Timeshare Store is closed till Tuesday so we have some time to think.

By the way here is the link to Debbie's site. I've been a user for years, it really is a great Disney site. The link will point you to the accomadation section, so just click of the photo tab for the resort you wish to see.

I recently passed ROFR on BWV at $71. I really think it's just the luck of the draw!
Yeah, but that was a whole 2 1/2 weeks ago.:) I passed ROFR a couple days before you did at BWV as well. Oh, by the way, welcome home neighbor.

Thanks for the link, Mike. That is a great web-site. My daughter and I were planning on where she would like to spend her 6th birthday.

Kathleen,

You may have done this already, but if you haven't click on photos-slide show. It's really cool.

We signed for our first time for OKW. It just went to Disney on 9/1 so I guess our wait has just begun. We have been to WDW 18 times in our married lives and just recently agreed it was time to try for DVC. From what I've read, the ROFR is only if you bid the sale price or lower. If this is true, how much higher would you have to go to omit this step? I just recently registered and this is my first post.

That is not correct. All contracts have to go through ROFR.

As Debbie B states, all contracts must go through ROFR (unless you are purchasing directly through Disney). Since Disney raised the price it charges (for all resorts except SSR) to $89 in early August, they have been exercising ROFR on more contracts since that time. As you have gathered from this thread, though, it is hard to try and second guess what Disney will and will not buy back at a given point in time -- what price, what resort, etc. It seems to help if the buyer pays maintenance fees on any current year points available on the contract + closing because Disney takes all that into account when determining what you are actually paying per point. Hope this helps!

Dear ROFRs:

I agree that the ROFR pattern right now with respect to OKW especially does not make sense.

So here is my guess.

Perhaps an established DVCer told their sales guide at Disney that they wanted a LARGE OKW add on.

Maybe that's why OKW is so hot.

It can't be because of the new action pool can it? <G>

It is amazing what one month has done to prices.....

:earseek:

Our bid if for $72 for 150 pts at OKW for April uy. Buyer pays closing costs, mf for 2004. Is ours a border line case for ROFR? We've only been waiting since 9/1 but trying to read every post of this thread makes me confused on whether we should start shopping again already. Has disney ever taken the entire 30 days? I am very happy for those of you that have passed and wish those of you that didn't the best of luck.

Our friend, Amybeth, just lost; OKW 220 points, April UY, buyer paying closing, no 2004 points.

If she lost that, I'm not sure there's hope for anybody!

I have not seen it but has anyone heard about whats passing ROFR at HH my wife and are thinking of picking up an add on once we get our first purchase locked down, we were to hear from a seller this weekend but they live in palm beach so we are figuring they are busy with other things. Anyway any news anybody heard of HH ROFR

Come to think of it, I haven't seen anything regarding HH ROFR or Vero ROFR in a while.

Micki....welcome to the board and Pixie Dust to you while you are waiting on ROFR.

Hope all my fellow ROFR's had a great weekend!!!

Kathleen

Thanks Kathy-

Here's hoping that we learn something this week (although I would not be surprised if we didn't due the the holiday and hurricane). Oh well, I'll just enjoy the last weekend of summer, and wish for pixie dust.

Kim

Right Of First Refusal.

Disney has the right to reject any resale that does not meet their criteria, usually selling at a price too low per point will trigger it.

Hello to the ROFR club.

Thought I would bump this back to page one and ask...
Anyone care to venture a guess as to whether or not the ROFR committee will meet this week since it is shorter? With the timing of last week it seems like the rumor of Tues. meetings would be accurate. (Keeping in mind that once they meet, the owner is notified in writing of status of their contract.)

Here's hoping. (Can anyone tell the waiting is driving me crazy:crazy: )

Kim
BWV 175 pts
ROFR 8/27

Hi Kim,

I would agree, it seems tuesday might be the meeting day. My guess would be business as usual. I hope my optimism is helping to calm a little of your craziness:crazy:

Even so, if you went to ROFR on the 27th, my guess would be you should hear back around the 15th. But then again....The whole ROFR process always keeps us on our toes.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Kathleen

I went to ROFR on 9/1 but I will be at the world from 9/17-9/22 so I'm really not sure if I'd prefer to know before or after my trip.
