Any really good hotel rates for October?

I am planning a short 4 night stay 10/18-10/22. I haven't booked our rooms yet as there aren't any codes out. I was thinking that it won't be that busy that time of year, perhaps I am wrong? Are there usually good deals this time of year? I would love to try aa different deluxe resort this trip.

October is convention month. Consequently, it is not value season, but regular season. If any codes or AP rates come out, it will probably be another month or so. The best you can do now is an AAA or DC rate.

The National Car Rental Golf Classic is at the Disney courses on Oct. 17 - 22, so it may be a little busier that week. We went last year at this time and are going again this year. Last year we did not find big crowds at the parks. Have a great trip.

I work for an insurance company and my co-worker has a convention at the Dolphin on 10/20. They are having their CPCU conferment there. She is hoping for discounts also, even though the company pays for her room at the Dolphin (she wants a suite, which is more than what they pay for). We tried getting her a suite at the Dolphin under the Entertainment rate, but nothing available until after the conference is over at the discounted rate. She did reserve a 1 BR at the BCV for about $450/night. She was hoping for around $300/night. Now she is thinking about staying outside Disney at either Orlando Marriott World Center, Hyatt Grand Cypress or the Caribe Royale.

Do you have any other info on the convention at the Dolphin like how big , how many days, etc.? We will be there for a week during that time and am wondering if it will impact our stay.
Luckily I booked very early and was able to get a discount rate so I am at least grateful for that!!

I would assume that some codes and/or AP rates will be out soon. I'd book the moderate for now and then you can change it later.

HI all.
I am attending the CPCU conference. No idea how big. First time there. Rates are $220 and it runs sat 10-19 to tues 10-22. We could choose the swan or the dolphin. I took the swan for the bigger beds and the small building. Hoping maybe it is quieter as I am bringing two under 4.

Thanks for the quick feedback pparing! We will be traveling with a 4 and 7 year old so planning for anything out of the ordinary is essential if you know what I mean!!

Here is what I found out from my co-worker. The conference runs from 10/19 thru 10/22. This is a convention for anyone in the insurance industry who has completed their CPCU designation in the past year, so not really sure how many will be there. It is not your typical convention in that this is more of a reward trip than an actual business conference. It is more of a family-oriented convention. She did say that they will have the actual conferment where they will receive their award and there is a formal dinner. Other than that, she didn't think there was anything else planned. She believed that they would be on their own the rest of the time to vacation and tour the parks. But she hasn't received her agenda yet, so she wasn't possitive about this.

Because this was more family-oriented, she didn't think that you would be affected by this and said not to worry.

You might want to look inot the Fall Fantasy package. I got excellent rate at CBR and the same rates are available at POR. There might be some good rates with this package at the deluxe resorts also.
