We had one appointment scheduled with an RE for this Thursday, but I wasn't crazy about the clinic. I figured in the grand scheme of things, it would be better to go to the one I was most comfortable with -- which means waiting until August 23rd. :( Oh well, at least it's on the books!

Jen - I am sorry for your news, and hope you can find some acceptable solution for you. And I agree about the clinic - you want to be comfortable with who you choose, because you might be dealing with them a lot.

Ahhh thanks guys :goodvibes

Elaine: I'm glad your back is feeling better :thumbsup2

Kristy: I hope you have great news tomorrow morning :wizard: :wizard:

Jennifer: I know it seems like appointments take forever to get here but I hope the time passes quickly for you and your DH. I agree with Denae, you should go to a clinic where you feel comfortable

DznyLvr2005: Yeah!!! I'm glad you are not going to die :cheer2: Now you can move on to better things!!!!!

Tasha+Scott & momsully: I hope you are able to fill the void in your families with another little one soon!!!!

Well, Kristy...Did you test yet??? :goodvibes

So, I'm thinking I may get pregnant soon...DH just bought a new 2007 Jeep Wrangler (4-door) yesterday! So we now have two car payments for the first time ever! We just bought my car in November, so we'll have two payments for a while! So don't you think that NOW I'll get pregnant. LOL! I guess to seal the deal I could get rid of all of our baby stuff and redo the third bedroom into an official guest room. DH is thrilled. He's been bugging me about getting that Jeep since they came out with the four door ones. He was driving a 2001 Solara...the two doors were killing us with DS, plus the thing was getting old and needed more and more work done. A tree fell on it 2 years ago and it just was never the same after that as well. Earlier this week his check engine light came on again so I decided enough was enough! I was hoping to wait another 6-12 months before getting the Jeep, but I'd rather get it now than poor more money into the Solara. We already had to get it repaired last December and last June!

Kristy?????

Yep, Allison - you are sure to get PG now! :goodvibes

Kristy, we're all impatient here... I really am having a good feeling for you today... truly I am!!! So even if it is negative today do not give up hope

momsully, you are the first person I actually have really talked to who has the year round school. I am not sure how much I would like it in HS since that is when I made most of my money,b ut it must make vacationing easier since you don't have to go during the "busy times"

Dznylvr, I am soooo glad to hear the good news! That must be such a relief for you!

Jennifer, I would wait a month myself if I wasn't comfortable with a doc office. Just means you will be better off in the end. As for OSU, of course I am. I am an OSU grad and we still live relatively close to campus. Football Saturdays are a way of life for us ;)

Allison, you know it will happen soon... we had a bad thing happen right after we bought the house that sucked out a lot of money for us. Just seems to be when you spend more moeny you have something like that happen ;) Enjoy the new Jeep though!

I'm here...I'm here. The test this morning came out negative. I cried but I'm past it and I'm not giving up till Friday's results.

Kristy - But it is still early, and definitely don't give up!

I know how you feel!! We have two car payments as well.. (I have a jeep liberty, I love Jeeps)
I keep telling DH if we finally do actually have a baby, it will need cloth diapers because we won't be able to afford the other ones

Oh Kristy -- I am so sorry about the negative test -- but don't give up hope just yet -- wait for the blood test on Friday. How many days past 3 day transfer are you? You could have a late implanter!

I am thinking of you and sending you good thoughts and hugs!!

Hi to everyone else.

Allison - I think you nailed it - taking on an expensive car payment will surely mean you will get pregnant soon!

Hugs to all
Nicole

Kristy, I'm so sorry. It really could be too early. I tested at 7dp3dt and it was so faint. It didn't get dark until 10dp3dt, which is 13DPO. So, wait for the blood test....I actually have a friend who never secretes HCG into her urine.

Jennifer, definitely see the doctor you like. You're going to be seeing a LOT of them and dreading every visit is no way to live. It's already August, so you don't have long to wait.

Cloth diapers are awesome burp cloths. We use them all the time because Kate is a puker. My mother bought these cutesie burp clothes. They're too small, they stain, and we ended up throwing them out. The cloth diapers are awesome - they're big and they can be washed. It's been the best purchase we made and the thing we use most. :)

Kristy:   Don't give up hope just yet.

Allison: I love the look of those new jeeps!!! And of course you will get pregnant now!!!! When we bought our travel trailer I was so worried that I would get pregnant before we got it paid off and our finances would go out the window so I made sure I took my bcp's like clockwork :rotfl2: If I had only known......

Nicole: Nice to "see" you!! How are things going?

Thanks all. Oddly enough all of the stress of the 2ww has gone now that I tested at home. I know the test on Friday has a small chance of coming out positive. My transfer was 7/21 so today is 11dpt..it really should have shown up by now.

Kristy... keep on trying to think positive. I just read that Fact Plus needs 40mlU of hgc. And if you read here http://www.webwomb.com/hpt_levels_hcg_levels.htm it is totally normal not to reach 40 until 16dpo. Just a thought :)

Carla, do you use cloth diapers all the time for your baby? I am just curious because I would consider them but DANG are they $$$$$$$$$$. We might go with throw away to save money :(

Thanks Elaine. I'm at 14dpo so there's still hope :)

Kristy -- I'm still holding out hope for you for Friday's beta!

Elaine -- Very cool! My dad is an OSU grad, played football in college, so I've grown up on football, and Buckeye football (in addition to NFL) specifically. Rough year last year for both big sports, but it's almost fall! :yay:

I'm sorry, Kristy, but I hope that it is still too early and that Friday brings you wonderful news!

Carla~ We used cloth diapers for burp cloths too and I completely agree with you! My dd is 2 now and I still have them. I rarely use them anymore but they look brand new still so I am keeping them for burp cloths for baby #2. Dh stole one to change the oil with and he recommends those for that too.

Elaine~ Well, disposable diapers are $$$$ too. Trust me on this! ;) I didn't have the patience for cloth diapering (other than for the wonderful burp cloths of course!) and the only diapers that really worked well with my dd was Pampers. We tried the cheaper brands, actually prayed the cheaper brands would do just fine but no such luck for us (though I know others do have success with them), but Pampers worked best so it can get pricey too. Just something else to think about...as though you don't have a million other things to think about with a new baby on the way, right?!

Allison~ Oh, yeah, 2 car payments pretty much guarantees a new baby, right? If that doesn't work then getting rid of all of your baby things will probably guarantee you twins! But be careful and don't convert the extra bedroom into a office just yet or you might end up with triplets! ;)

Jennifer, that is cool that your dad was in football there as well. I have a familiy history of OSU alumni and I think my uncle and grandfather both played. My great grandfather helped build the stadium (if I got that right... sadly my grandmother has dementia so I can't ask for sure). I think it is an awesome way to spend the Saturday ;) Not as much into pro-ball but still watch it now and then.

Tasha, I don't think I'd have a problem with cloth, but the cost of them $20 for 2 diapers not including the liners :faint: I don't know if we could do it. We can buy in bulk here for the diapers so we get the name brand for about 1/3 the cost. I need to look into cloth more... we'd just need a pail to put the stinkies in until I did laundry. I'll be at home all day so it isn't a huge thing... but I'll ask my friend who will be doing cloth as well. She got a lot of them at her shower.

Elaine~ I obviously know nothing about cloth diapering since we chose disposables and most likely will with any other children as well. I do know that I bought a 12 pack of cloth diapers for about $10 or so from either Wal-Mart or Toys R Us to use as burp cloths. I bought a 6 pack of liners at Wal-mart last week for $5 (we are in the process of pottytraining and might try panties with liners at some point if necessary, that is why we got those). You could make that 12 pack last a long time if you rewashed each day or however often is necessary but I personally just didn't have the patience to wash cloth diapers every night. Disposable was just easier and quicker for us. I think that cloth could save money in the long run though. I spend a LOT on disposables. It's also better for the environment if you are big on that issue.

BUT like I said, I've never done cloth diapering so I don't know enough about it. I have known people that went that route though and they spend way less than I do on diapers. I am not really advocating it since I do prefer disposable but if it's something you are interested in then I think it's worth looking into for the money you could potentially save alone. Good luck with whatever decision you make. I know we did a diaper test on all of the different disposable brands to see which was most effective after dd was born. Unfortunately, the most expensive ended up being the best for us. Thank God for coupons!

Oh, and that reminds me, if you do go the disposable route make sure to sign up for some of the websites like Pampers.com, Huggies.com, Luvs.com. You will get coupons from them. I tend to get more Huggies coupons than anything but sometimes get Pampers too.

Kristy - :grouphug: Sorry about the test this morning. My fingers are still crossed for you that you get good news on Friday.

Elaine - We only have year round school thru 6th grade. After that the schedule is closer to traditional for the junior high and high school. They have to do it that way because of jobs and sports teams. The only hassle then is you could have a child on tracks and another on a traditional schedule and no overlap of vacation!

DznyLvr2005 - Glad to hear the colonoscopy went well.

Allison - I've had the same thoughts many times about giving away all the baby stuff and I can't bring myself to do it. All my friends that have had 3rd children say give it away, that's when they got pregnant. One of these weekends I may just hole up in the basement and sort through everything and donate it to someplace. We have clothes, toys, strollers, jogger, etc. I could start my own consignment store just with the junk from my boys!
