Tasha -- sorry for your loss

DH's second SA came back, and did worse than confirm the first. After looking at several frames, they found ONE sperm, and it was non-motile. Makes even ICSI and IVF seem a bit iffy if that's all they have to work with, period. DH is on call at the hospital overnight tonight as well, but called me to see about the results. So needless to say, it's going to be a long night for both of us to go through alone. :guilty:

Jennifer,

You need to talk to your RE about TESA and find out if that's an option for you guys.

Jennifer  I am so sorry. My heart really goes out to you! This has to be hard on you both. Would you consider doing IUI with a donor?

Still thinking lots of good thoughts for Rebecca today. I hope the u/s went well this afternoon.

My back is killing me... unfortunately half of what I usually do to get it to feel better requires me to lay on my stomach for long periods of time. I have a feeling tomorrow I will be online a lot just sitting properly in my chair at the dining room table.

I am so sorry, Jennifer. That must be a lot to process right now and it's too bad that you have to be alone tonight. Hopefully once you have time to let the shock wear off you will be able to get some answers to what your next step or options might be. Good luck to you!

Jennifer: I'm so sorry about your DH's SA results. Hang in there :grouphug:

My u/s went well. Our little blob/bean is measuring right on schedule. We saw the heart beating (147 bpm). So thanks for all the good thoughts today. :goodvibes If you would like to see a pic of the blob/bean click here: :cloud9:

Awww Rebecca your bean is precious :)

Jennifer don't give up yet. Talk to your RE. They will work with you and a local urologist to do a TESA on your husband. That's a needle biopsy to test for active sperm. If they do not locate sperm there they will do an incision on his testicle to remove viles of semen.

Denae...What is it about law school Halloween parties?? All three years, DH and I both just drank way too much and really don't know how we arrived home safely. Three for one will get you ever time! ;) I think Halloween was always like the last hoorah before the studying for finals kicked into high gear...we made the most of it!

Tasha...I'm so sorry about your loss.

WDWAurora ...Sorry you're out this month. Hopefully your new less-stress outlook will help get that BFP soon!

Val...Sorry to hear AF has arrived for you, too. I know when we started TTC, I also thought it wouldn't take this long. Good luck to you with temping. It is hard to start, but I will say this...after I would hit O, I was SO anxious to temp in the mornings to see if my temp was staying high. I would actually wake up TOO early in anticipation of seeing what my temp would be!

Kristy...Don't get too caught up in symptoms. With DS, I had NO symptoms other than fatigue and hunger around 6 weeks. As I've said before, DS was a surprise. I thought I was late, tired and hungry due to law school finals. I never had sore bbs, morning sickness...none of it!

mla...Welcome to the TTC thread. :) Good luck with the RE! I don't know much about all of the numbers yet, so I can't help with that. I'll be in your shoes soon, I think. I'm on month 13 TTC #2 as well and have my annual appt August 10th.

Jennifer...I"m SO sorry...about the results and that you have to be alone tonight. You and your DH will be in my thoughts. There are so many options today and I hope that y'all can find something to work for y'all. Good luck! :goodvibes

Rebecca...Yay!! I'm so glad everything went well today! Is your next appt in 4 weeks?

Elaine...I hope you are able to ease that back pain. Unfortunately, it'll probably only get worse!

Rebecca, what a beautiful blob :teeth: I am so happy that everything is going well for you :)

I think I totally forgot to welcome mla, glad to have you here!

Allison, I am sure it will get worse. I was hoping to make it further than this though... I have already been through PT with my back so this isn't new for me. Hopefully changing some sleeping habits will help and spending more time sitting at a table proper like should too.

Congrats on the wonderful 1st u/s, Rebecca! Great picture! I had my 1st u/s with my dd at 10 weeks. She looked like a tiny bean too but they were able to show me the head, arms, and legs that early which was kind of surprising but really great too. I actually just put those 1st u/s pics in my dd's scrapbook only about 3 days ago. She's over 2 years old now so I may be just a tad bit of a procrastinator! ;)

Morning all....

I have question. I'm planning to do an HPT tomorrow morning. If I wake up in the middle of the night (5am) like I did this morning is that considered the first morning pee or can I wait until I get up again at 7:30?

Reason I ask is that DH wants to make sure he's there when I see the results. He's very funny about the whole testing thing. I can't do it without him around.

Rebecca - Wonderful news about the ultrasound!

Kristy - I would test at 5 am. Good luck tomorrow. My fingers are crossed for you.

AF started for me yesterday so I doubled my metformin today. My stomach had finally gotten adjusted to the dose and I could eat anything and feel pretty much ok. I hope doubling it doesn't totally freak things out.

Allison - Tomorrow is the first day of August. I hope your appointment with your doctor gives you some answers.

DS8 starts third grade today. I need to get him to the bus in about fifteen minutes. DS5 starts K on Friday. They are growing up so fast I am a little freaked out. I am still hoping and praying for one more and have not given up yet but sometimes I wonder if I am crazy to keep trying. It has been almost 3.5 years since we started trying and I had one miscarriage almost 2 years ago but otherwise that is it. Sorry, just whining for a minute. I love my boys and am so fortunate to have them but part of me just doesn't feel complete.

Kristy~ I'd test at 5 a.m. too. I'd consider that your first morning urine. I actually woke up at 5:30 last week so I went ahead and tested (since AF was late) and then I went back to sleep for 2 more hours.

momsully~ I'm so sorry for how you are feeling. That is how I feel too with only 1 child. I feel like there is one more child missing from our family at the dinner table. We haven't started really trying yet, but I still don't feel that our family is quite complete yet. I hope you get the BFP you deserve soon! And wow, your kids start school early. I thought the kids started early here, they go back Aug. 8.

Have a great day everyone! My dd and I are heading to my mom's house for a little while.

Jennifer, I totally blanked on this earlier, but that is a great avatar you have there!!! :thumbsup2

Kristy, I would say do the pee at 5 am if you wake up. Granted I've done evening pee tests and been shocked too, but this early might as well do it first thing. Just nosey, what brand do you have ready for testing?

Momsully, I hope the new dosage doesn't do too much bad for you. Also I admit I am shocked, school already? Do you have a normal summer break? If not seems very early since it is still July

Back is doing better today. I can adjust my bed and that usually helps. I'll just try to baby it for a while. Joys of having a bad back

Morning Ladies!

Tasha - I'm so sorry about your grandmother. At least you got to see her, and say goodbye. Somehow that makes things feel a bit better.

Momsully - I never had problems with the increased doses of Glucophage. My doc told me that the side effects don't tend to be dose - related.

Kristy - Test at 5 am. Good luck!!!!!!

Tink2020 - :grouphug: When are you meeting with the RE to find out what your options are?

Have a great day! I'm at work hoping today goes fairly quickly. So far, pretty darn slow....

Jen

Tasha - Thanks for understanding. I know I should be happy with the two I have and I am but it is just something is missing.

We have year round school in our part of Colorado. Our kids go 9 weeks on, three weeks off. At summer break and Christmas our track actually gets 5 weeks. Some tracks only get two. So we ended school June 22nd and had a nice five week break. We are off for three weeks at the end of September/beginning of October, then five weeks at Christmas thru January, and then 3 weeks at the end of March/early April. I love the schedule as we get to go to Disney at non peak times without having to pull the kids from school. It is a little tough with work but the school runs an offtrack program so basically my kids can ride the bus to school just about any day of the year.

Have a great day everyone! I need to get some work done.

Thanks all. I'll test if my bladder wakes me up at 5 again.

Elaine I had a Fact Plus test on hand. I was going to buy another one Sunday but Derek said we only need one at a time :rolleyes1

Glad to hear your back is better today. Take it easy today!

Momsully I think you'll be fine upping your dosage today. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Jen have a good day!

I went to bed with a headache last night and haven't been able to get rid of it. I wish we could take something stronger than tylenol.

Hi everyone... I'm kinda dopey today because of anesthesia, but just to let everyone know, I had my colonoscopy today and I'm not dying! ;) i was so scared, last night I had to take the 4 pills then drink 2 liters of SALT water, oh it was gross, I threw up like 3 times :(
Anyway, I got through it and the results were that I have many internal hemmeriods (TMI-- sorry!) and that's most likely where the bleeding was from.
He gave me 2 Rxs and said I will be OK.
Now I can start getting excited about going to Disney in 52 days!!!!!
Hope everyone is doing well!!

Rebecca - what a beautiful little bean. :cloud9: I think it looks like a girl.

Kristy - I can't wait to hear your good news!

Dznylvr - What a relief! I hope you are up and running very soon!

Denae

We had one appointment scheduled with an RE for this Thursday, but I wasn't crazy about the clinic. I figured in the grand scheme of things, it would be better to go to the one I was most comfortable with -- which means waiting until August 23rd. :( Oh well, at least it's on the books!

And helenabear, are you a bucks fan? :)
