Oh, Kristy, I'm so sorry! Hopefully it's still too early and you'll have wonderful news to share on Friday! :)

Dznylvr...I completely forgot to mention this earlier, but congrats on the test results! I hope you are feeling back to your normal self soon!

LOL! I only kept the big baby things when we moved last year...stroller, crib, pack-n-play, saucer, etc. I sold/donated all of the baby clothes and baby toys that I didn't want. You wouldn't believe the amount of clothes that my mom buys for DS! I've only had to buy him clothes when I wanted something particular for him, or if the outfit was really cute. So I figure if we ever have another, I'll get tons of baby clothes again!

Tasha, I just looked up the style you were talking about and I can see why those would be cheaper. A friend of mine is using a different style though and won't require safety pins (which scare me honestly). They apparently work much better but cost so much more. The rinsing part doesn't bother me, but using safety pins does, so I was looking at the ones that are velcro. http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/diapers.htm#org2
It's one of those things we'll have to think on...

Momsully, I could imagine how hard year round would be once the kids get older, though even more hard when the family has kids on two totally different schedules

Allison, a lot of my friends have told me that they are never really hurting for clothes. Someone always has something they want to give away. I just hope my friends and family remember me when the time comes ;)

Oh btw, I forgot to post about this earlier. I wanted to share this with all of you. One of my friends is using a saliva monitor to check out her fertility
http://thefertilityshop.com/saliva-ovulation-predictor.htm

It's really kind of cool. I used it and thought it was neat to see all the "ferns" and the like. Just thought I'd toss this out as a less costly way to possibly check for fertility :)

Hi all. This thread is too daunting to start at the begining and catch up so I'll start right here. I'm happy to say that after an annoying spring & summer of visiting drs and sugery to remove Fibroids, Dh and I got the official ok to start trying for a baby yesterday. Which is great timing because i just finished my cycle so no worries about when it might pop up now. I'm hoping it isn't too long b4 we get lucky but until then I plan to have fun trying. Can't wait to get to know everybody in the group

Afternoon all....rather quiet here today.

Elaine that's a cool way of testing.

Maureen welcome to the group!!!

So update from me....I had some spotting last night but it's all gone now. I'm being hopeful but also skeptical. I don't want to get my hopes up and then get let down tomorrow.

Hey Ladies! Hope everyone is doing well. I just quickly skimmed through....I have been extremely busy lately. A good thing...not enough time to worry and ponder too much.

Kristy....good luck....my thoughts are with you!:wizard: baby dust to you!

I am currently in the 2ww. IUIs were on Monday and Tuesday. Now the waiting...UHGGGH! The clomid made me moody and gosh did I have some hot flashes! Hopefully, I won't have to take it again!

I started to read at the begining but 390 pages.......If you all don't mind me asking, how did you know that now was a good time to try? I know every situation is different and I know realistically there is never a "perfect" time there are the what if this what if that home repairs, bills etc. So how did you decide?

Hey guys- How is everyone? I'm sad to say I miscarried this week at 6 weeks. :sad1: I don't know what happened, since I passed everything at home. This is mc #2 for me, the first time was a molar. It was exactly 8 years ago this same week that it happened. We had been trying 18 months to get pregnant. I'm ready to start trying asap! I think that's the best thing for me to heal right now.

Elaine, that saliva monitor looks interesting. I've never heard of those. Anyone here used them? I was reading an article about Ryan and Trista Sutter, and she used some watch that you wear that tells you when the best time to try is. I thought that was kind of freaky, too. Anyone heard of those? I'll probably go back to ovulation kits. They're $1 each, and they work pretty well for me.

stichntigger, there is no best time to try. If you wait until everything falls into place, it will never happen. For me, I just had an overwhelming urge come over me, I MUST HAVE A BABY! It really took over my thoughts!

2bemarried, I hope everything goes well for you!

Octoberbride, welcome to the group! This place is wonderful. Just hard to keep up on all the posts! lol

Oh Kelly, I am so sorry.

Kristy, my fingers are crossed for you.

stitchntiggertoo, we just came to the conclusion that we were ready to try. There is never goig to be a perfect time, so I figured we should go for it.

I haven't been able to post, but I have been reading. You are all in my thoughts and I wish everyone luck.

Kelly  I am so very sorry... my heart really goes out to you.

Octoberbride, welcome to the group!!! I wish you all the best!

Kristy, my prayers are with you.

Kristine, so sorry about the headaches. I do hope it is so worth it in the end!

stitchntiggertoo, for us we just knew it was time. I could afford to quit my job and we've been settled in the house for a while now. I am 30 and I figured I better start now or I never will.

Oh, Kelly. I am SO sorry.

Chelle...Good luck in the 2ww! I hope you have good news to share soon! :goodvibes

Maureen...Welcome! Glad you decided to jump right in! I hope your TTC journey is a short one.

Kristy..When is your appt tomorrow? I'm still thinking good thoughts for you.

stitchntigger...Our DS was a surprise, he arrived about a year earlier than we were planning. I'm glad it happened that way because I'm not sure how long it would have taken us to take the plunge. You'll NEVER have enough money, never have enough time, etc. You just won't. Somehow, though, it all ends up working out. :thumbsup2 We decided on TTC #2 once we finally moved into our house. I was hoping to start earlier, but DH wanted to wait until we bought a house.

I am so tired today. For some reason, I haven't been sleeping well at all and it really caught up with me today. I think I'm going to shower and jump into bed early!

Kristy... keep on trying to think positive. I just read that Fact Plus needs 40mlU of hgc. And if you read here http://www.webwomb.com/hpt_levels_hcg_levels.htm it is totally normal not to reach 40 until 16dpo. Just a thought :)

Carla, do you use cloth diapers all the time for your baby? I am just curious because I would consider them but DANG are they $$$$$$$$$$. We might go with throw away to save money :(

Elaine, I am using cloth diapers, and it does seem to be cheaper. I bought the pocket diapers, so it is more expensive than regular ones with teh pins and all, but still cheaper than the disposables. Honestly, it's not bad to do. Even my DH doesn't mind it :)

Kelly

Kristy, good luck. I'm hoping for you!

Stitchntiggertoo - I'm not sure there ever is a perfect time. DH and I thought we had it figured to the perfect time, and then took 15 months to get pregnant. The perfect time had come and gone.... :) But, it all works out in the wash, and you make the sacrifices you need too.

Skuttle - 2 car payments should do the trick. If not, change jobs so it would be truly difficult ;)

Nicole - Hi there! How are you feeling?

Take care ladies

Jen

Thanks all. My appt is at 10am tomorrow. I'm assuming I'll have the results around 1 or 2. Trust me you'll be at least the second to hear ;) Hubby is first.

Kelly   I'm so sorry

StitchnTigger we also just felt it was time to start trying. I'm thankful that we did. Otherwise we wouldn't have known of our infertility issues.

Chelle my fingers and toes and everything else will be crossed for you!!

Kristy - good luck tomorrow, I am really hoping to hear good news!

Kelly - :grouphug: I am really sorry.

Chelle - Fingers crossed. Time to start chanting again. No AF!

Octoberbride and StitchNTigger - Welcome! I don't know if there is ever a perfect time, and as others have said the best laid plans don't always work out.

Allison - hope you got some rest!

Kelly: I'm so sorry

Chelle: I'm sending you lots of good thoughts and baby dust :wizard: :wizard:

Kristy: I hope you get good news tomorrow!!!!!

Welcome to the new girls!!! I hope your TTC journey is a short one!!!

Oh, Kelly, I am so, so, so sorry! There are just no words. :(

Kristy~ I will be thinking of you all day and I pray that you have good news for us later!

Elaine~ Yeah, I don't know much about cloth diapers so I didn't know they had some without pins till now. I still think it could come out cheaper but I know it isn't really for me. Of course I say that now but I could always change my mind with the next baby so who knows? I am definitely intrigued by the ones that don't require pinning and may consider those at some point. Thanks for sharing the link!

Good luck to all of the ladies in the 2ww!

Welcome to the new ttc ladies! As far as how I knew when I was ready for a baby? I just felt it deep in my gut. It's all I really wanted. However, my dh was NOT ready so I waited until he was. When he said he was then I knew it was the right time and we had our dd. There were worries, sure, but it all worked out and I can't imagine doing anything differently.

This time around I had other things to consider like my schooling (I started going back to school when my dd was 15 months old) and my dd and my dh's feelings. He is now 100% ready for another one (he wasn't a year ago when I was), I think my dd will be now too, and I will be out of school whenever baby #2 would be due since I have made sure to not get pregnant any sooner than that. I did not want to be due before May 2008 and if I were to get pregnant this cycle, which I am not trying to until the beginning of Sept. ideally, then I would not be due till May which would be okay.

I have known I was ready in my heart for over a year but I wanted these things to be in place before really starting the whole ttc journey again. They are in place now and we are ready and excited (though I'm still sort of nervous anyway!) Good luck on your journey!

I am so sorry, Kelly. :grouphug: I miscarried at home a long time ago. I didn't realize I was pregnant, my cycle was irregular - but now that I know the symptoms, looking back I should have known. I wish I had been able to do something about it. And the experience was pretty traumatic for me. Let us know if you need to talk. Again, I am really sorry.

Kristy - hoping for good news today!

Denae

Kelly, I'm so sorry :grouphug:

Kristy, Good luck today! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I had ordered one of the saliva microscopes from Amazon and I think it would have worked well. I like the fact that you can just wipe it off and reuse it. I think the one I got was under $30 and it's really small and compact. Delivery took forever though...over a month.

Good luck to everyone starting their TTC journey :)
