Another YES question (park admission)

When we go for the class, does that use up one of our park admissions?

Where do you meet for the class (we are thinking about signing up for the Ocean Discoveries class)? I'm guessing, Epcot at the Nemo pavillion?

How strict are they about ages? I have a 7 year old who would love the class, but the age range is 8-11. Would it be totally over his head? I am planning on signing up my 10 year old son and nephew, but I'm afraid my DS 7 will feel left out.

Thanks!

(not an expert as we have bought YES tickets but not gone on our trip yet)

--yes it will use a day of park tickets
--the class you sign up for will tell you where to sign up
--yes they are strict with the age limits and might void your tickets. Plus it is not fair to some child who is the correct age to lose a spot.

We did the Ocean Discoveries class and met in front of the turnstiles at Epcot.I think all classes meet up outside the gates.

They are very strict about age, so you will have to lie if you want your child in the class.

Thanks for the quick answers. It sounds like my DS 7 will have until wait for next year to take the class! Oh well, he probably won't mind once we get there :yay:

We are so excited for this trip! It will be the first visit for my SIL and my nephews who will be 10 and 5. Any feedback on the Ocean Discoveries class? Did you love it?

If you are staying at the Boardwalk or Beach Club, can you enter through the international gateway to get to the Ocean Discoveries class at the Seas?

What do I need to bring for proof of age for my kids for the YES classes? Do I need to bring along all of their passports to the parks?

We did this class last July, and IMO it would not be over your 7 year old's head. I had a 9 year old and a 12 year old do it...the 12 year old was a little bored with the class...I would think they would do this for even younger ages! Back to answer your question about proof of age...they did not ask for anything...we just showed up in front of the gates and said who we were and got our guide and all the information. Now that I have done the yes program, I don't think I can ever go to Disney without doing it (mostly for the discounted tickets!) This summer, I just signed my boys up for a class at Disneyland...my now 13 year old is very excited to take an animation class this time!
