:fish: FE Exchange Sign Up :fish:
A couple of important items to note:

You will be REQUIRED to confirm your participation in this FE via e-mail after the list is closed! Failure to confirm will result in removal from the list. CLOSING DATE for the list is AUGUST 8, 2015. No more signups will be permitted after that time, however, we will do our best to make a reasonable accommodation for late-comers.

Depending on how many cabins we have participating, we may split the list into smaller groups. If we do so, each group will consist of approximately 18-20 cabins. If you would like to participate in more than one group, please indicate that at the bottom of the form. You can always change your mind (add or subtract) prior to the closing date.

If you have any questions, please feel free to pm me (PFlamingo) here. Thank you!!

:santa: Secret Mickey Gift Exchange :santa:

This exchange is a bit different from the fish extender exchange, but works along the same way as a Secret Santa exchange. Each participating stateroom will be matched with another stateroom, and should buy a gift for that cabin with a total cost of no less than $20 but no more than $25 (approx GB£16, Aus$25, Can$25). The gifts can be one per cabin, or individual gifts for each person.

You can leave the gift in that cabin's fish extender if they have one, or you can ask their stateroom host to put it in the room. Alternatively you can leave the gift with guest services and ask for it to be delivered to your recipient. You should attach a note to the gift that says its a gift from their Secret Mickey, but don't reveal who you are. The reveal will occur at lunch in Lumiere's on the 27th September, which is the next-to-last sea day. Participation at lunch is optional, but please do not "spill the beans" to your recipient til after that.

If you would like to join in the Secret Mickey exchange, I will need names of everyone in the room who is participating, ages of children, and your room number (if known). Please also include some ideas of your favourite characters/hobbies/interests, etc. Please also include any allergies or severe dislikes for anyone in your party, where applicable.

Cut off date for joining the secret mickey exchange will be early August 2015. PMs will then be sent out with details of your recipient.

Recipe Exchange

Choose a favorite recipe to swap. Ideally it will be a local specialty, but any favorite of yours is fine. Make one copy for each member of the group and distribute them to state rooms sometime during the cruise. It can be as simple as a recipe on a postcard, as some like to give postcards of their local area. One recipe will be fine, but you are welcome to share more. Any questions, PM me here. Thanks!

Hi, can I add myself to the recipe exchange, even if I'm not doing other activities with the gang? Thanks!

Does anyone experience motion sickness and had trouble with that on a cruise - particularly TA? Our 2.5 yo son gets carsick sometimes so we're a little worried about him.
Any recommendations for patches, medication, etc esp for kids? We will have Seabands to try but I want to ask his dr for something too as a back-up.
Thanks in advance!

My sister gets really bad motion sickness but has always used the travel sick bands on the cruise (as do I but my motion sickness is minimal) and has never been ill on a TA down this way. The only time they didn't work was on Queen Mary where they went to New York and the waves were so big even the staff were getting ill. You can get travel sickness tablets from the desk that are pretty good (1 packet at a time) or buy them onboard. Also Gingerale is a miracle! Its available in the dining rooms free of charge and works well. Green apples are meant to be good too. Def look at the bands though as these are non-medicanal and can be worn 24/7

Ok thank you for that! I wouldn't say our son is extreme, but any precaution I can take is worth it to me! SeaBands have been ordered! :)
I read that deck 2 mid-ship is the best for least motion. I booked there for that reason and bc they also said it was quiet - we have a baby as well.
Can anyone verify that?

Never been on deck 2 but yes it is true mid ship and low is meant to be the best option for anyone with motion sickness

We are doing a 19-day European tour (even though we live here, we haven't seen many places south of us in Luxembourg) before the cruise. Anyone else traveling Europe before the cruise? :)

Thanks Sarah! Don't know what post number I am on yet but hoping to get on the FE list. I've made my own DIY FE and have had fun explaining to family/friends what a Fish Extender is! :dog2:

you've got to 8 so just 2 more left lol!

My parents will happen to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary on the ship. Any ideas for something special we could do for them?

Make sure you tell the dining room as they will get a cake - although I have to admit I hate the cake they give out but others like it (very chocolatey). Otherwise you could always book them a meal in Palo one night. Its $60 for 2 people but well worth it as the food is amazing and its a lot more intimate than the main dining room.

John and are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in July and the cruise is our special celebration. We are doing a couples massage as a repeat of our 25th 2010 WBTA celebration. Both of us loved it so much we decided it was a perfect gift to eat other.

Welcome aboard!! I get seasick pretty easily, even on smooth seas. On the 2011 WBTA, when everyone was saying how smooth the crossing was, I could feel the sway of the ship. Yep, I'm that sensitive to it. I can't take any of the motion sickness remedies. Even the ones that aren't supposed to make you dizzy or tired make me feel horrible. So I tried ginger capsules and they worked like a charm. They're a natural motion sickness remedy. I took them twice a day and had no trouble at all. You can get them at and drug store or health food store. Even Walmart carries them. (Don't know if you have a Walmart there, lol!)

Now that you've hit 10, I'll send you a pm with the info I need to get you on the FE list.
