I got power back late last night! That was NOT fun!! My neighborhood was hit hard. Full trees uprooted, most of our fences down. I still need to finish cleaning up the back yard. Ugh!

Glad to hear you're okay. . . I was worried about you.


I can't believe you were without power that long. . I live over by the golf course behind where the Split Rail BBQ used to be- we have a PSO guy that lives in the neighborhood so we usually get hooked up pretty quick. Ours came on about 3am Saturday morning. Longest it's been off since that ice storm 10 years or so ago.

Freaky storm- sun shining one minute, dark as midnight 5 minutes later.


Oh, when your done cleaning up your yard, you can come over and clean mine.

The rest of my neighborhood got theirs back Friday afternoon. Which was totally NOT FAIR! My house was the last one built so it's apparently connected to a different line.

Glad you're okay- I'm the sole caretaker of my 81 yr old mother who is in the early/mid stages of Alzheimers so I can't get away much, but one of these days we'll have to have lunch or something.

Looks like it's going to hit 95 with a 102 heat index here in Coweta, OK. (America's Garden Spot!) today.

Not horrible, but very glad to have power and ac back on. . .

92 right now with a heat index of 109. Supposed to get up to 97, so I guess we'll be breaking 110 heat index. We are just below the oppressive heat level according to our local news. We'll move into the oppressive zone later this week. Thank goodness for AC!

89 here with heat index of 94. I don't have any plans to go out in this today. Yesterday I dragged hubby to Costco so I could spend some time in the milk room (meatlocker temperature LOL)

It will rain this evening, but the lawn needs it. I'm enjoying the peace on the deck for just a few moments before I pick up DD from camp.

Dh was on a annual golfing trip last week with my dad & buddies -- and gained a new cocktail recipe. (Apparently it's beer on the golf course, and booze at night for poker.) I know my dad's wife loved it, so I'm eager to give it a try.

Last year's golf outing drink was Gin Buck. Not bad, but gin isn't my favorite liquor. I think this one is rum, and fruity!

Hi Willy. Glad you guys are ok in OK. Here in Michigan we are forecasted for 97 degrees this Saturday when DH and I hold our big "baby" Barbecue for my son and wife who are expecting their first. I teased them and said we were going to have OK weather just for them. We're Skyping them that day so even with the heat can hardly wait to "see" my son and wife down their in Altus, OK.
