We plan on spending a full day at AK and. Would like to have a table service meal each day. I'm not really interested in any of the TS restaurants at AK. What would be the easiest /quickest place to get to (park or resort) for another option?

think your best option if you don't like any of the TS options at AK would be to go to AKL and hit up 1 of their TS places...I have heard wonderful things about both Boma and Sanaa as well as their signature TS option (Jiko). If you don't like any of the options at AKL then your next best & probably closest places to go would be the Epcot area hotels and the Disney Boardwalk...over that way you have Captains Grill, Beaches & Cream, ESPN Club, the new Italian place at boardwalk, Cape May Cafe, & some signature dining as well (yachtsmans Steakhouse)

We ate at Boma last trip, we thought it was alright but pretty crowded.
Don't forget the new Tiffins waterfront restaurant will be open soon at AK.
Have you tried the Yak & Yeti at AK it is pretty good.

Boma for dinner, Sanna for lunch or dinner are fabulous options. And, you get to see AKL and animals up close.

You can get to any park easily and make reservations there. While you could also get to resorts easily, the return to your home base wouldn't be as easy (unless you plan on going to a park after). I'd look at places in the other parks, and see which one interests you most.

This is assuming they have a park hopper. Even so, going to another park means going through security and fighting the urge to ride "just one thing since we're here" feelings and entreaties from little ones. It is easy to get from park to park, but it's not as easy to go to another park just to eat as it is to hit up one of the resorts.

We do have park hopper and plan to return to AK after our meal to hopefully see the Rivers of Lights and what else is offered after dark by then. OUr trip is Nov. 15-21! I think I'm convinced to try BOMA and get to see the AKL!

Thanks everyone!

Boma is great, but if you don't want the hassle of leaving the park, Tusker house is almost as good.

What sort of cuisine are you looking for and why don't any of the AK restaurants appeal?

As if you already ruled out Tusker due to the African-spiced items then Boma might be a no as well.

If you like Chinese then maybe Yak & Yeti. Or there is Rainforest Cafe for "normal" food. Also don't forget Tiffins opens in a few weeks but that will be more exotic choices.

I wondered that same things. There's a wide variety of dining at AK.

Heres another thought as well...my trip isn't planned until 2017, but I have already started "planning" lol...I am attempting to plan for AK with the assumption of river of lights being in play by then as well. I was originally planning on leaving AK to eat at Sanaa on our AK day, but now with the ROL in the play of things I really don't think that is feasible for a dinner bc I don't want to be rushed. Unless you are planning on leaving for lunch then that should be ok, but I wouldn't plan a dinner because that might cut it close to river of lights. On my AK day we are doing Rainforest Cafe for dinner before heading over to river of lights area.

Are there buses to all the parks at AK?
