We are expecting a little bit of snow overnight too. I just realized that it has been almost a whole year since we went to WDW for the first time as a family. Can someone explain to me why money can't grow on trees?

Lars, how is Matthew's guitar playing coming along? Speaking of Chip and Dale - have you read that thread about the DISer and her unhappy experienc with them?

Sandy - congrats on the solid hold on last place! That's the right attitude - I hope your team has a great second half!

Boy, I have a lot to catch up on and am sure I will miss somebody.

Today DH and I took DS shopping. He got warm up pants, 2 pairs of athletic shorts and snow pants. DH got snow pants too. I got 2 greeting cards. It is too hard for me to shop with anyone with me.

Tree is out and decorations are all boxed up and waiting for DH to carry them to the attic.

I went to church solo today but DD did go to a 2hour choir practice.

Gail, good wishes coming Matt's way.

Groan! Thank goodness that game is over! No wagers on this end. We fully expected to lose, but that was a slaughter! Poor OU, we've been losing lots of sporting events lately. On a lighter note, I want to see Calendar Girls. It looks so funny.

At church this morning I refrained from doing my famous nose dive. I actually stopped and counted the stairs and looked where I was stepping. I'm sure lots of people were disappointed that I didn't liven things up. Amy's elbow did slip and she hit her head on the pew in front of us. She's okay, but it made a loud THUMP! She comes by it naturally.

Our Christmas tree is almost naked. Amy and I have been packing away ornaments. It still has lights, but maybe if I'm nice they will come off and the tree will come down?

David is studying for finals. They are scheduled for Monday through Wednesday. Amy has no finals, so she is enjoying his pain.

Love your scrapbook pages, Bethany. It's so nice that we have several scrapbooking angels! One of these days I'll figure out how to scan some of my pages and share, but I'm too lazy right now.

Guess I better figure out what to feed these hungry folks. If I want them to work for me, I better fill their bellies. The only problem is that I don't have much in the pantry or freezer. Could be an interesting meal.

you know....IMHO that has got to be the most outrageous thing I've heard in a long time. I just keep thinking how damn cold it is here and how the big puffy gloves and "stuff" we're wearing would make accosting anyone virtually impossible.

I did read about Chip & Dale... truthfully my gut instinct is that this was nothing. They are usually fun loving "flirty" characters and I have a scarf wrapped around me in December. No harm done! I doubt they could really see or truthfully doubt they could FEEL anything in those costumes. If a hand just rested I wouldn't think twice... now if it started to rub... well maybe I'd wonder. But JMHO on that.

Checking in for the evening. IMHO, Matt's tryout went well. He was at the same level of play as many in his group of 20. The "Stepford Husband" of the woman who hates us was there.....clipboard in hand since he's an assistant coach. To steal an old stereotype, he does NOT wear the pants in that family. Their son "Wonder Boy" wasn't there since he moved up to Majors last year. I was too busy watching Matt to see if he was even looking at him but I know he'd never be chosen for that team.

The draft is supposed to be held Thursday evening so I guess I'll be calling the answering machine at home while we're in Florida to see if he gets a call from a coach. Thanks for everyone's good wishes.

I haven't read the Chip & Dale thread....I couldn't find it....but I have a good idea of the subject matter. I'm making no judgements but I did have an uncomfortable experience with Donald Duck many years ago in MK. I was 17 and at the World with my high school band. A group of us wanted to pose with Donald for a picture...he put his arm around me....and his hand did some wandering. I just walked away.

Sorry to hear that Gail!!! I just hope it wasn't intentional. Just curious was Donald taller back then. When I saw him this time, he (well I am sure it was a she) was so much shorter than *me*!!!

I was just talking with a friend of mine from DC... he wants me to come visit. So do y'all think that I can go there and not feel guilty since I would ignore my in-laws who live *right* by him????

I can't remember what else was said.........brain getting tired. We had DS's b'day party today w/ kids from school. The sports place worked out nicely, all the kids got to burn off some energy. I had my DH call my BIL to come help out since I knew he would be good at getting the kids to listen (he's a teacher in the city schools). He was so helpful, I'm glad he came. There was one girl that if I would have known that she is a little *****, I wouldn't have let DS invite her. I wanted to put her outside!

I will give my opinion on the Chip molestation thread, IF it happened at all, I can't imagine it was on purpose. But the person complaining is the only one who knows. BUT (yes, I have a big but there), if you were truely that upset, why give up your film with the picture on it, why wait 3 days to get the police involved, blah blah blah. It seems like another story that is really getting blown out of porportion, and I tend not to believe it. THe misplaced glove, I believe, the rest is just too ridiculous. And why can't I get groped by Tarzan?????

Gail, I am glad Matt did as well as he could. This year I think my youngest nephew will be in Majors and the older one will be in Babe Ruth. They are both really good, I hope it gets them somewhere good in the future. I would love to hear that Matt Paras won the Cy Young!

If it doesn't snow tomorrow, I am going to get my car registered and inspected. Pete's trip to Norfolk did not happen, but probably will this week.

MP, glad you didn't fall down, but that is too funny about Amy, I hope she wasn't sleeping during the sermon?

E, skip the in laws, we have done it many times! The only time that we visit the queen is if that is one of the reasons for the trip. If I go to see my sister, I don't let the queen or the step MIL or even my other sister know.

If she had any pretty beaded things your DD could take them apart & turn them into new bracelets, necklaces & earrings. I do it all the time. I've used all kinds of older things including my friends mother's old stuff. I also check garage sales for pretty things all the time.....they are some of the prettiest things I've made
