When I had this problem with David, I bought the smallest mens pants I could get and took them to an alteration shop. She cut them down and they looked great. It may cost a little more, but it's better than the alternative.

I can just picture Alan in the silk shirt in a bowling alley. I needed the smile.

Thank you friends for being there for me. I'm just beginning to feel like all my relatives are almost gone. My grandmother came from a family of 9 children. All of them are gone now and most of their children (my mom and my uncle's cousins) are gone too. It's sad to see my family tree getting so sparse.

Donna's cell phone is still working. I just got back from picking up Leah from dance and taking her to a sleepover. When I walked in the door, Lenny gave me the phone and said, "That lady from Florida is going to be calling you back soon."

Colorado? Pike's Peak? Brrrrrrr..... I'll be hanging out in the lodge waiting for the lodge boy to bring me something warm to drink.

Almost time for my night of reality TV to start. What an interesting life I lead!

Okay I am very very happy today... my Marc is coming home!!!!! For any who don't know, Marc is one of my best friends in the world. He and I met through a friend in HS (I went to school with her, she moved counties and districts and she and Marc went to HS together) and we became so close that he was my "Man of Honor" at my wedding. Well he and I have been playing phone tag, so I finally caught him tonight... he'll be back in town over Labor day weekend Unfortunately Marc lives in DC so since I avoid that city like the plague, I haven't seen him in over a year now I can't wait to see my sweetie again

My in-laws live there Sandy... and trust me I don't hate them or anything, but we don't see eye to eye on much. His mom went as far as saying she didn't think I should marry her son (which I honestly was *totally* blindsided by) and after being told that the way I think and deal with our life together is not "right" I truly just avoid them. Trust me, it's not something I ever dreamed would happen. So someday I will go there again, but well, it's not easy to go back

Honestly I loved the city! I'd love to go back some day

Lou, we're almost in my backyard. I'm only a few hours away from Colorado Springs and it's one of my favorite states. I love the Rockies. Thanks for thinking to stop here. Can we go to Rocky Mountain National Park? And I like the idea for the next stop, too.
