Free TU 2 days a week?

Peace and quiet??? Are you kidding??? I live with three (3) women (two of them, teenagers)!!! so, that's out of the question, right off the bat.....

We're back!!! We spent 2 beautiful days in Maine, the weather couldn't have been nicer. One of the highlights was a walk to the

Rockland, Maine Breakwater Light

It's right in the middle of the top picture and can be seen better farther down on the page. We walked out and back, just under 2 miles, and it was wonderful. We also visited Boothbay Harbor today and yesterday were in Portland and Freeport.

Hugs and good wishes for E's friend's mom.....and for LK & SB for the loss of a friend.

Happy belated birthday Liz!!!! :cake:

All right, Lou is calling me!!!! :teeth:

Did Donna go somewhere????

Hey everyone:wave2:

WB Gail!!

Not even gonna "touch" the bun grabbing in the kitchen...

E prayers for your friend and her mom, I know exactly how she feels my mom just had her 9 year anniversary of her stem cell transplant for breast cancer last month. If she wants to talk to someone that's been there feel free to share my email as well.

Lou- I too missed the thread about your friend, I’m sorry for your loss, I looked her up and noticed she was due for a trip to WDW in less than a month.....so sad.

My parents came over for dinner; my mom is so excited about our trip. She forced me to book the limo right then poor Jim was @ dinner but he was kind. So I guess that's my last lil thing to do for the trip besides pack.

I'd also like to ask for some P&PD for my mom.....long story short she is leaving her job that she loves because her dr. took on a new partner that just made life too hard for her. As she put it...she didn't fight BC to wind up miserable.....I'm proud of her for having the courage to move on but I know it's also very difficult because she loves her dr. and her job.

Decided no to go to Dallas this weekend, just too much with school starting....starts Wednesday ....one more day

On an up note....I think I’m going to surprise him with a trip to the lake tomorrow for some seadoo and boating fun.

See ya'll when we get back.....nite

Star - hope it all works out okay for your mum

Good Morning Everyone!

Happy Tuesday!

Star, enjoy the day with your DS today!

Cami - prayers said for your friend's mom. :(

Gail, that area looks beautiful! I loved the autumn picture.

Lars, I'll take that bet! What are we wagering?

MP - Leah is REALLY pushing for a trip to see Laura Ingalls Wilder's homes. We may be seeing you in a few years. Get out your tour guide hat!

Morning Everyone,
Looks like myPIC will be sleeping in today....she was up late last night...
I've got a bunch of running around to do this morning, then shipping AJ off to a friend's house for the night. Guess it's Meggie & Mommy night tonight!

I'm starting to miss the boys......better get the house put together soon!

Morning All!

Put me on the has not been called from Donna list.

 for Star's mom and E's friends mom.

Gail - glad you had a great time in Maine! Welcome Back!

The weather was great yesterday at Kennywood. Got there just as rides were opening, so the kids got to ride a lot before the crowds. The cheerleaders were everywhere!!!!!!!!!!! Could the skirts get any shorter?

have to finish getting ready for work.

Good morning everyone!

Hugs and prayers for Hannah and her mom, Elaine...

Hugs for your Mom, Star....

Happy Tuesday!

Good morning everyone.

Found this at the bottom of page 1.

 I am on the list of those not called (or PMed) by Donna.

Prayers for Hannah and her mom, Elaine.

And for Star's mom too.

Glad you had a nice day Lorraine.

Welcome back Gail. Looks like a nice walk out to the lighthouse. Did you have to put on your Jesus shoes and walk on water?

I read this in our local paper today and it made me teary. I couldn't find it online in our paper but linked it from another. Empty nest

(Rats, you have to register to read it. It is about a child going off to college. The registration is easy and free.)

Hope everyone has a great day.:wave2:

Welcome home, Gail! Looks like a great walk. I'd love to go there someday.

Star, I bet you're getting excited about the trip, too. I'll keep your mom in my prayers. Is she looking for another job? If so, I hope she finds a new situation that's fullfilling without the stress. Life's too short to be miserable! Have fun today at the lake, if it's not raining! Your schools are starting earlier than ours. My kids go back on the 25th! Wish I didn't have David in band camp or I'd come up and sidetrack you on your first full day with a first grader!

Cami, I'll pray for your friend's mom, too.

LK, I'll dust off my tour guide hat. :teeth: It was a great trip. You'd have fun!

Steph, how is your knee? After my ankle disaster this spring, I have a lot of sympathy for anyone with a sore leg. You can't do anything without it hurting!

SB, glad the nice weather came through for your day. I agree about those short skirts. I think someone is trying to save money by using less fabric. ::yes:: :teeth:

Carol, I'm dreading the day David moves out. Not that I don't want him to get to go, but it'll be hard for me. I keep concentrating on the positives. One of these days I'll get to have a scrapbooking room. ;)

I've had no calls from Donna either. :sad1: But I am enjoying her updates through the rest of you. :sunny:

Enrollment is tomorrow morning, for both the kids at the same time. And of course they are predicting rain. We're doing David first, so he can go on to band camp and then running across town to do Amy. I could send David alone, but this is the best time to pay all sorts of fees, pay for school pictures and buy school t-shirts. I hate to give him tons of cash or a bunch of signed checks. You have to pay for each item as you go.

Thanks for sharing the photos Gail! It's nice to be able to take little "trips" through the sharing everyone does here!

E and cami....I'll surely keep your friends Mom's (and your friend's as well) in my prayers

Lorraine....Glad you had a good day in SPITE of the Cheerleaders.....and I wouldn't dare ask the question "could those skirts get any shorter"....I fear the answer would be a DEFINITE YES (and they'd all be accompanying us to our next trip to WDW!!!!)!!!

Off today to meet with a designer and a contracter who will be doing MAJOR renovations (starting tonight) on one of my stores (needed to be completed by September 3rd!!!).....the BIGGEST challenge is that we can't close our business so we'll need to "move things about" while the walls are a tumblin' down around us and the members...it SHOULD prove to be MOST amusing (if I can keep a sense of humor throughout!)

Have a great day all!

Valerie :wave2:

on the subject of cheerleaders....my hubbie was gutted on honeymoon when the cheerleaders that were staying at our hotel were all about 10 years old...........think he had been hoping for the dallas cowboys or something!

Either that is a Scottish/British term or we now know where the moose antlers came from!

Donna just called. She and Sue are standing in line for Mission: Space, and are trying to convince themselves not to chicken out.

They were the first ones into Epcot today because they had an early PS for the PSB. They were driven to Norway on a golf cart, for those of you keeping track of their transportation. ;)

They will be taking a picture later in Epcot and e-mailing it to Lou. Lou - you didn't hear it from me, but I think she's calling you next!

They are having a great time even though it is VERY hot.

Hasn't Donna's bettery died yet????:p

Just talked to Sue. Now in all fairness, this is just because she was waiting for information on Matt's homeroom and to let me know that Logan and Matt are in the same class. Yay!

Anywho, Donna did shout out for me to pass along "itebay emay" to Lars! Can you feel the love?
