I watched Survivor but wasn't totally impressed. I always like the scenery though.

Happy FRIDAY everyone.

Sam is off to school in a few minutes and then I am probably off to Target or something.
Survivor was good last night, but I always hate the beginning of the season when you dont really know anybody or their names. There are some characters, hopefully they will be around long enough to be entertaining.
Im not too sure I agree with the outcome on the Apprentice. Donald seemed to take a lot of pleasure in the firing.
ER starts next week. Oh, how I have missed being home on THURSDAY nights.

I watched The Apprentice, but my brother called long distance and I missed the last 20 minutes. David and Allen tried to fill me in, but it's not the same. Is it being rebroadcast on Saturday? Maybe I'll tune in and watch the ending then.

Sorry to interrupt a reality TV discussion but...

Hi Angels/cherubs! Thank y'all for asking about me.

And thank you Lainey for passing along the updates. (umm..for the record, you can leave that whole dominatrix thing Lou has discovered in Ohio or on the cruise ship. I'll settle for a more family oriented visit )

We are still without power at my house, but I am one of the few at work today. My MILs house does have power, however, so Mrs. AA, the girls, MIL and grandmother will all go over there today.

We took some meat out of the freezer last night and took it to another friend's home (that had power) to keep for us. The refrigerator has a pool of water underneath it now. Hopefully, we will regain power over the weekend and there will be a lot of grocery shopping to do.

But as E mentioned, lots of debris still down (limbs, lines, etc.) My next door neighbor lost the top of a tree which crashed down on his fence and part of a covered patio of the neighbor on the other side of him.

My father and brother in South Alabama had to cut and remove a large tree to get on the dirt road my brother lives on to check his home. It was okay also.

We are all very greatful; this storm was bad enough, but could have been so much worse. A co-worker just told me that her brother in Milton, FL lost everything.

Nevertheless, I'm just glad to be here to say hi "in person"

AA, glad to see that you guys came through okay. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who lost so much. They say the storm is going to stall and move back to the east. Does that mean you will get even more rain in the days ahead?

Missy, actually the storm right now is over us (and as south as TN and as west as VA) so it is probably going to cause some bad flooding in those areas... we have flash flood watches for today. Hopefully should blow out by Sat
