I thought this was a clean cut crowd.............What's with all the laundry talk!!!!!!!:teeth:

1/2 way down page 2:eek:

Who was on bumping duty tonight?????
:hyper:

Lars was thinking the same thing
You got to it a couple minutes before me.
pirate: :teeth:

Lou, the pigs I saw had the same kind of numbers on them as your pigs. What a cultural experience it was.

I've seen pig racing at fairs around here...... apparently they're very fond of oreos for some reason :D

that's kind of a personal question, isn't it?

MP isn't it great how new appliances can make a chore a lil easier to do.........enjoy your newly remodeled kitchen!!

E!! I'm so glad you are having fun can't wait to see some pics!!

I went shopping tonight and bought some clothes for the cruise.....figured if I waited any longer I'd have to wear fall fashions in the Bahamas!! lol

still raining here so Seattle couldn't be a better choice!

that was the highlight of my day

 Who let this one go by???????????? Tag Fairies where are you?????????????????

LOL, SB. :teeth:

Got the new microwave in. There were a few hitches, but we never install anything right on the first try. Star, I won't know how to act when everything in the kitchen works properly again.

The rain finally let up. Wonder if more is on the way? We sure needed the moisture, so I'm not complaining.

Carol, I've seen the racing pigs, too. I think they're fun to watch. Pigs always seem to be smiling.

And I only talk about laundry to cause trouble. When things are a little slow, someone has to liven things up, right?

Mom got the latest news on Uncle Ron. His liver is involved after all. Tomorrow he goes to see the surgeon. Hopefully then we'll know more.

:wave2:
I'm working this morning & tomorrow morning........might need to work part of next week too but I probably won't know for sure til at least tomorrow.
I'm getting off at noon so I'll be back later..........

Morning!
Finally we are going to see some sunshine today:sunny:
Only working till noon so I'm hoping to head to the pool!
I can't believe it's almost August!
I leave 2 weeks from today for my beach vacation to Ocean City

Power failures are not all that unusal during the summer months. So from about 8:40 PM last night until about 3:00 AM this morning our household was thrust into complete darkness (like we normally sleep with all the lights on... ) But unlike the tales of peaceful serenity that Alan told during a similar experience recently, our household was a little different.......

Kids forced to survive without the satellite dish TV.....

The PC and the cable modem out.....

A neurotic dog panting and slobbering thinking that thunderstorms are nothing compared to total darkness and silence.....

A neighbor whose first reaction is to call us rather than the power company......

The need for AC for the first time in a long time.

The feeling of waking up at flashing 12:00 o'clock to the sounds of Windows XP startup music because your PC was on when this happened. (Not to mention every light and electrical appliance in the house).

The stupidity of flicking the light switch when you go into the bathroom even though you know the power is out and you have a flashlight with you. (C'mon, you've all done it!)

The thought that the last thing that you were doing when this happened was clicking on a PM from Donna (The Donna Virus??) Hey, lots of things cross your mind when you're sweating and kids are tripping over dogs....

So Alan you are right. Moments like that really do make you stop and think about what is important in life.....;)

awww come on Lou....don't you have a battery back up on your home PC???? Surely there was enough time to respond to DOnna.....

No actually Donna........IT'S ALL ABOUT LOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ::yes:: :duck:

But, about the blackout.....................It takes a 16 year old's mind to take these things personally!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why her block, why not the block around the corner...................Why me, me, me, mine, mine, mine, Etc. This is getting quite repetitive!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me tell you when the lights go out on this block, it gets darker than a cave..................So why would my neighbor call me instead of just looking out the window to see if anyone else is in the dark:confused: to have a 1/2 hour conversation of course....

And while said conversation is going on instead of letting me call the electric company..................Kids in both houses are running amok, screaming, complaining and shining flashlights in your face:crazy2: :crowded:

On top of all this the dog's neurosis is in full swing:hyper:

Have you ever tried to look up a phone number in the dark with all  going on and not knowing where your reading glasses are.:3dglasses

Then being in the bathroom in the dark and hearing a huge thud, running out of said bathroom not entirely in the all together and finding your two kids (16 and 10) sprawled out on the kitchen floor screaming and yelling:rolleyes:

I sent them to bed, fell asleep on the couch and woke up to electricity at some point around 2 or 3 and put the dishwasher on and set up the coffee pot and went back to sleep on the couch............PRIORITIES YOU KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:teeth:

So, how was all your evenings. :teeth:

Good morning everyone.

Sorry the Bons had darkness last night. Next time, try paying the electric bill.

Sandi, Ocean City NJ or MD?

It is actually sunny here today too.

:wave2:

Y'know there are some advantages to having a blind person in the house.

Mrs. AA just makes everyone sit down while she goes about her normal routine and gets candles or a light if we need one.

I'm one of those who assume that someone else will call the electric company if the whole block is out.

When we were first married and had a power outage, I was stumbling about the place and she laughed at me, took me by the hand, and led me to a couch where she told me to stay out of the way for my own safety.

I hope that's all she meant when she said that I'm useless in the dark... :p

Morning Everyone!

Sandi - we'll be in Ocean City, MD next week!

The Pirates are playing a day game today, so guess where I'll be?! Nothing like having a great choice of food for your lunch.
