And your oscar winners are.

He’s a “chameleon” and tends to totally dissolve into his characters- he’s unrecognizable in some of his roles. He’s probably best known as Sirius Black in the Harry Potter films.
Funny, somebody a page or two earlier said the same thing about Alison Janney - but as an insult.

Well, that explains a lot. I've only seen one of those. :duck:

Gary Olman played Sid Vicious in Sid and Nancy. He also had this really bizarre role as a drug dealer in True Romance. I won't link a clip because there's language that won't work here, but it's really bizarre yet really good. He's got dreadlocks, contacts that make his eyes look odd (apparently the same ones he wore playing Dracula), and there's a really weird interaction with a hanging lampshade.

I didn't watch, but read today that some people raised a stink that Adam West, TV's Batman, was ignored. I don't know if he was in any movies other than the 60's Batman film based on the TV series.

Others were ignored or forgotten as well. I'm not sure if any of them are noted for their work in film.

More were left out than the article even mentions. Tobe Hooper, John Mahoney, Powers Boothe... It was a really short and sloppily put together tribute. The performance was nice though.

Not sure how it could ever be an insult- it’s an incredible feat for an actor; they both do really great work.

Um, I'm pretty sure that was a joke. She shouldn't win because she's a chameleon, not a human. Get it?

I didn't take that as an insult. I think you missed the meaning.

Jokes are expected to be at least mildly amusing.
I'm honestly not so sure she should legitimately win all of the awards and get all of the accolades she does. I am convinced she is in fact a chameleon.

I'm sure I am unfamiliar with most of her roles. As for the ones I do know, she does an incredible job completely disappearing altogether into each role.

I think TCM gives the best and most thorough tribute to those in the industry who have died over the past year. It airs often throughout late December each year.

She did an amazing job in "I, Tonya". Total opposite from C.J. Cregg

I haven't seen I, Tonya, but I have no problem believing she did an amazing job. She always does -- so much so that I have my doubts she is not in fact a chameleon. So many times I have seen her in a role and thought or said, wait, is that Allison Janney or that's Allison Janney, I had no idea.

I thought Jordan Peele looked so familiar, but can’t place him. I googled him but that didn’t help. What has he been in, or does he look like another actor?

He's half of Key and Peele, a comedy show (on MTV, I believe).

Once someone asked about Kobe, I was all like "oh, right, the rape accusation. Wasn't that years ago? What ever happened to that?"

When someone mentioned Gary, I was all like "wait...what??"

He paid them off, the victim and his wife. Money talks.

I am so disappointed that This is Me didn't win. I love that song and the whole soundtrack to that movie.

Can someone explain to me how one can deem something too PC yet they haven't seen it?
