I was just listening to an interview on the Broadway channel on Sirius, and found out that when the Broadway Musical Annie was written the song "Tomorrow" wasn't originally in the show. The song was written only as a means to fill time while the set was changed. Charles Strouse said that when he went to see the show after it had opened and people were clapping after the song, he thought people were clapping for the choreography and not the song. He literally had no idea he'd written a hit. How funny is that?
