Still at 135 this morning. I had to take DD to her Family Math Night yesterday and I was so rushed to get dinner on the table so we wouldn’t be late. And I was doing awesome until we got there. They had a center where you had to eat a wafer, a frosted animal cracker and an oreo and vote for which one you liked best. And of course I couldn’t disappoint DD by not participating! We both voted for the wafer… And to make matters worse, she won a door prize which was a book and a giant Hershey bar! Geez, just when I am finally almost rid of the Hershey Kisses, now this… :confused3

This Sunday is our SuperBowl party. I won’t be drinking alcohol since my *$&#% ex would not let me pick the kids up early and I will have to leave in the middle of the game to pick them up (leave at 5:30 and get back at 6:30pm – game starts at 4:30). He’s such a selfish jerk and constantly reminding me why I divorced him in the first place! :furious: Anyway… we are having carne asada w/corn tortillas, homemade salsa, chili-n-cheese dip w/chips, pretzels, a veggie tray and some cookies or brownies. NO mixed nuts – I can’t have those things around the house! I got to the gym again (and survived the BFL treadmill experience) and drank 100oz of water, 2 cups of green tea, a DC:

11:30am (@ work class): Turkey w/Mustard and Provolone on Wheat; Carrots (10 baby)

Beth, isn't it funny how we sometimes don't do things for ourselves but we do them to prove we can do it to others?!? Whatever it takes, I'm not picky.. :teeth:

Jane, I hope I can at least maintain that 135 this weekend. NO MORE WEEKEND WEIGHT GAINS!! That is my goal...

Sorry that your Superbowl party will be interrupted. Your menu sounds delicious, & I'm sure you'll have a great time once you get back home. You've done a great job this week so enjoy your free day!

Every year the party we go to gets bigger, which means more food since everyone brings a dish or two. I'm bringing a 4 layer hot bean dip with two kinds of chips. The dip isn't too bad if I'd eat it with veggies instead of the chips. Since I went off my program basically the whole week I should try to get a grip for this weekend.
 
Well, what can I say - I didn't stick to plan last night. :guilty: We ended up going to Outback AND Baskin Robbins (DH's idea) and of course I had 2 martinis... :rolleyes1 And I justified it all by telling myself that I am not that overweight and DH thinks I look good. Why can't I tell myself that kind of stuff when the scale jumps up a few lbs? Which it did by the way, I was at 137 this morning. I know it is water since I didn't eat all that bad. But regardless I will be behaving for the most part on Sunday, but enjoying one cheat meal during the party. :teeth: And I didn't do my workout DVD, but I will be going to the gym today. I did get in 100oz of water, 8oz of Light Cranberry juice, 2 cups green tea and a DC:

Jamie, I talked my ex into letting me pick the kids up early! So I will be back right at 4:30, just in time for kickoff. I still don't plan on drinking though, I usually don't drink when the kids are around (maybe 1 glass of wine, that's it)

Jane, you have to get back on track (next week)! Remember how awesome it felt to be in the 140's! My plan is to eat pretty healthy all day Sunday then splurge a little at the party, instead of an all-day food fest. Here's wishing us both a successful (not traumatic) free day! :wizard:

I woke up this morning at 136. I was surprised because I really feel lighter than that... I am SO proud of myself! We had to go to IKEA to get another CD rack and it is only 10 minutes away from Cheesecake Factory :lovestruc . So we went to get some and I DID NOT TOUCH IT!!!!!!!!!! I put it in the fridge in the garage to save it for my free day today. :cheer2: I am so excited that I did that!!! Of course I did sneak in a NF chai latte, but I got a tall instead of a grande. :goodvibes I also had a glass of wine with dinner, but stopped at one. SO overall, I think I did pretty good! I plan on grazing off that cheesecake all day :cloud9: - since I've been eating healthy I've found I can't eat one piece in a single sitting anymore... I drank 100oz of water; 8oz Light Cran Juice; Tall NF Chai Latte; 1 glass White Wine:

Oh my goodness, what a food fest yesterday! I started out so good, ended up so bad... :rolleyes: But it was my free day and I'm not going to stress out about it. I woke up at an appalling 139, but I know I will be back down to 135 by the end of the week. As much as I hate seeing that high of a number, it is only temporary. I bought some Chai Latte mix from Starbucks so I can make my own at home! I will save it for Sundays. I did manage to get in 100oz of water, 2 glasses of wine, 16oz NF Chai latte and a DC:

I was at 137 this morning, which is where I was hoping I’d be. I have a mental goal for tomorrow but I don’t want to put it in writing and jinx it! :blush: I got to the gym yesterday and worked out pretty hard. I have been doing the BFL cardio since last week but regular weights (since I am seeing some pretty good results in my upper body – why change it). Eating was perfect, except I didn’t eat my mid-morning snack – I must have still been full of hummus and tabbouli… I am going to kick butt this week with my BFL eating. :thumbsup2 It’s crunch time! I tried on my swimsuit over the weekend (pre-SB party binge) and it didn’t send me screaming into the other room, which is good. I am still aiming to be around 130 when I leave for the cruise (so I can gain 5lbs and not worry about it). No plans to do anything (as of yet) this weekend, so I don’t have to worry about dealing with tempting activities. Yesterday I got in 100oz of water, 2 cups green tea, a Minute Maid Light and a DC:

Jane, I wish they had a pill that dissolves all the stuff still left in your stomach. I know a lot of us could have used it on Sunday!

Beth, I got the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake (which was very good but very rich). DH got the Dulce de Leche and it was delicious! I think I will get that next time I treat myself :teeth:

That is pretty good compared to other times when I’ve been in that mental state! ::yes:: No workout other than my walk since I had to take DD to tap class plus work late so I can go to the Dr today. Aren't you glad the weekend is over? Its so much easier dealing with the everyday stuff. Congrats for getting back on track. We can do this. By the way, that dolce de leche cheesecake sounds delicious. I'm so thankful we don't have a cheesecake factory here.
 
135 this morning! :banana: :yay: :thumbsup2 I got on the scale several times to make sure… I have officially undone all the damage from the SuperBowl party. :woohoo: I had to get an endometrial biopsy yesterday and I had a lot of discomfort afterwards so I didn’t get to do my workout and didn’t feel like cooking a healthy dinner. But I didn’t go overboard and it obviously paid off! I feel fine this morning and plan on going to the gym today and tomorrow, and that will be my 3x for the week. I got in my 100oz of water, 16oz of Diet V8 Splash, 2 cups green tea and DC:

Jane, I really felt guilty about eating pizza on my non-free day, but I was proud of myself for only having 2 slices. And like DH said, just don't go totally overboard on Sunday and everything will work out in the end...

I bet that the extra pound was just from the extra salt from the pizza. It'll be gone by tomorrow. I can't believe that your cruise is just one month away. With all of the workouts & great eating you've been doing I bet your clothes fit much better. Your going to look awesome.
 
Boy, I really blew it yesterday! I almost gave up completely and called it my free day, but I finally got a grip. I was still at 136 this morning (it was actually at 135 and flipped over to 136 at the last minute) so I am just going to take it easy on my free day to make up for some of the junk I ate yesterday. It all started with my boss filling his candy jar with all kinds of new goodies. I gorged myself on caramels, Bit-o-Honeys and Tootsie Roll midgies. :guilty: Then I went to the gym and on the way home I was just really craving nuts (I have been bleeding for 12 days straight, maybe that has given me some kind of mineral deficiency or something). So I ate about 20 pecan halves and 12 almonds. :guilty: :guilty: And then I got into that bad state of mind and ate a HUGE chunk of Monterrey Jack cheese (probably 3oz) :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: And the creme de la creme - DD brought cookies back with her from the neighbors house and I ate 1 before dinner and 1 after dinner :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: At that point my brain finally kicked back in and I told myself NO MORE. I ate dinner and that was it for the day. But I am moving on and I'm not going to stress out about it. I'd been pretty good, that was the first time in a long time I've gone overboard (on a non-free day that is :rolleyes: ). Now I am just trying to decide if I want to go to a new kickboxing class at the gym this morning or just work out with a DVD. I should probably go to the class... I did drink 108oz of water, 2 cups green tea, a Minute Maid Light and a DC:

Jane, thanks for the well wishes. I'm sure the results of the biopsy will be fine. I go back on the 22nd for an ultrasound and the results of the biopsy. I am getting a procedure done that will stop my crazy periods. They have just gotten out of control and it only gets worse as I get older...
 
Yesterday was a lot better than Friday, but I slipped some unneeded ice cream into the mix... :confused3 Still at 136 this morning and I will be taking it easy on my free day. We are going to Chili's for dinner and I plan on having the Guiltless Chicken Pita like I did a couple weeks ago (it's pretty darn good!). One thing I did that was awesome was not eating a single chocolate chip cookie that I baked! :cheer2: I smelled them an awful lot, but finally just got over it and forgot they were there. I drank my 100oz of water, 1 SF Margarita and a DC:

I didn't behave as well as I wanted on my free day, but I did accomplish getting rid of the ice cream so there is nothing to tempt me this week! :teeth: I ate way too many cookies (at least they were the mini ones) but other than that, I guess I didn't do too awful. I woke up at 137, but I suspect that will be gone tomorrow. I don't feel all bloated and gross like I did last Monday, so that is definitely an improvement! Amy, looks like we're doing great on the cocktails & wine. :banana: Congrats to us!! A few weeks ago, I made a decision to cut back on my alcohol. However, I think when I drank more i ate less. I went crazy on the chocolate and hot pepper cheese this weekend. Also, both days i had horrible dinners.

I hope that you get feeling better. I'm surprised that you're not more fatigued. Be sure to take care of yourself. Your health is very important.

I was watching Oprah the other day & she talked about how she hates to exercise. When she went to Africa her treadmill broke - she was ecstatic. She consumed refined carbs the entire trip, had a wonderful time, got home & felt like crap! She said she'd never felt so bad & she felt the combo of no exercise & tons of carbs did her in. Its good to know I'm not the only one!
