Danny's version was very well done too. I think they both did a really good job singing our Anthem..no complaints from me on either version.

Okay so yesterday my friend and I decided earlier in the week to roadtrip to KY from Nashville to see Chuck Wicks. It was his first official gig back since Dancing. Well we left out yesterday morning at 4:30 and we drove straight into the storm that my friend nicknamed the second coming of jesus. It was heavy downpours bad enough to flood some places, the lightning was enough to light the sky up to look day light. We actually pulled over for 10-15 minutes because it was so bad. We drove for a hour or so in it till it stopped. Then we got stuck in 2 hour traffic jam, it took us 2 hours to go 6 miles.

We had left in enough time that we would of been at walmart by 9:45 yeah we got there at 12. We made the signing by the skin of our teeth literally. A roadtrip that usually takes 4 1/2 took close to 6 1/2. We then headed grabbed some lunch and headed to the speedway for part 2 of the day. Concert started at 6 we were there at 3 and right at the front of the stage. We spent the time talking and watching the soundcheck. We managed to be front row and it was good, he's a bit under the weather and tired but he was still good.

That does not sound like a fun road trip at all.

But glad you enjoyed seeing the show.

Adam had a girl at his high school homecoming thingy take off her shirt and rush the stage. Looks like he thought it was pretty funny. There are pictures but I guess I shouldn't post them here. She had a pretty turquoise bra. lol.

I just realized that once Megan left, we didn't have a person we all liked to make fun of on Idol this year. Almost makes me miss Kristy Lee Cook. Well, maybe not.

I love it, Nancy!!! Remember me and ShortBaldandSurly? I HATED (no HATE) Chris Daughtry and had to sit with a thread that idolized him!!! Been there... DONE that, got the Tshirt for being a Taylor Fantasia and Ruben Fan, too!!

Let's not even GO to the Carrie Underwhelm year... I was nauseated and appalled by the country love. I guess we all have our years. THIS my friends, is Nancy's!!

I finally had time to look at more of the homecoming videos and noticed that while Adam and Kris performed alone or with what I guess was a recorded music track, Danny Gokey had a band and one or two back up singers on stage with him. Why would AI furnish this for only one of the finalists? Just doesn't seem fair but this program usually isn't so I shouldn't be surprised. By the way, the clip I saw had Danny singing Billie Jean and forgetting most of the words. For a good part of the clip only the back up singer was singing and the whole thing vocally was just a mess. The band did sound really good though. I bet that they don't show this with his homecoming clip.
