American Idol Top 4 Idol Chatter and Idle Chatter

I wouldn't have picked either one of those songs for Adam, but I think he could probably do a great version of Wicked Game. I have a real hard time imagining Adam with U2, but didn't Mary J Blige do a version of it, or was it a different song with the same title?

I know that Mary J Blige sang it with U2. Her parts are a bit different from the original. Not sure if she has her own solo of it. There seems to be quite a bit of room for variations.


Here's another example of Danny's arrogance (since I was asked why I find him that way) that came up today in the press. It is my last complaining about him (for today), I promise.

Sorry I didn't read ther post sooner MeanQueen but I just got in from work.

Been following some of the TV footage of the hometown visits and - trying not to be biased here - but Adam is the most articulate and comfortable in interviews of all 3. No uhming and ahing.

They sing the American anthem ( a very hard song to song well) and there is truly no comparison between Goulkey's strangled effort (like a frog getting his throat cut) to Adam's perfect rendition.

Also part of a blog (Jim Davis) that says what I did in a pervious post. Adam's fan base is now global.

Okay I'm off I have a roadtrip and I'm running on 2 1/2 hours of sleep, I think caffeine is my friend today!

A little clarification on Adam's song pick from Simon. It sounds like Wicked Game by Chris Isaak is Simon's first choice but they are still waiting for clearance. His second choice, if they don't get clearance, is One by U2.

Videos of him saying both are available and Adam apparently said he didn't know which one he would be doing yet. You'd think that they would have tried to arrange for clearance a few weeks ago for the top 5 so that by now they would have their song choices final.

Even as a huge Adam fan, I was worried I would click on the link and he would be doing vocal calisthenics like so many people try to do with the Anthem. But he sang it the way it's supposed to be done; very beautiful and very respectful.

Danny started out good, but then tried to change it up ala Whitney Houston. I hate when a one syllable word like land ends up la-ah-ah-ah-and.

I'd love to see Kris' version.

I liked them both!

Gokey's voice is soulful, not everyone's type but I love it. Adam sounded amazing, too.

My sister went to one of Kris's hometown visit concerts yesterday, and she said it was fantastic. I think she said he sang 3 songs and he sounded great. The amphitheater was packed with people. I wanted to go but I had to work.
