I finally had time to look at more of the homecoming videos and noticed that while Adam and Kris performed alone or with what I guess was a recorded music track, Danny Gokey had a band and one or two back up singers on stage with him. Why would AI furnish this for only one of the finalists? Just doesn't seem fair but this program usually isn't so I shouldn't be surprised. By the way, the clip I saw had Danny singing Billie Jean and forgetting most of the words. For a good part of the clip only the back up singer was singing and the whole thing vocally was just a mess. The band did sound really good though. I bet that they don't show this with his homecoming clip.

They were probably friends of his from his church.

I suppose it is fundamentally wrong to skip a commitment to a volunteer organization so as not to miss the AI finale.

But it is possible that I would get a stomach bug next Tuesday right? It could happen.

Or my car could break down. I could find my tires slashed, couldn't I? I would have to stay home then, I suppose.

Ugh, I really *should* go. But I'm afraid missing the AI finale (LIVE) will throw off my internal clock or something. I will no longer be able to determine whether it's summer or winter. I may become confused and disoriented. I'll forget my name and where I live. Who knows what will happen, it's been so LONG!

Danny's huge crowds, I have to say, were not there because he was the main draw. Summer Fest tickets bring out everyone. I have no understanding how one could view Danny's version of SSB as better than Adam's on any level, but hey, whatever.

They WERE NOT giving out Summerfest tickets. He WAS the main draw - over 27,000 at the concert alone. Not to mention all the other appearances that day.

With the swine flu fear, that'd be an easy one to do. Just mention having flu like symptoms and that you don't want to risk getting anyone sick.

Hmmm. According to the Summerfest website, they were but I doubt that 27,000 people would come just for free tickets. There must have been at least a few that came just for Danny.
