I was also glad to see Ramiele go home. Her and Chikeze were the worst of the top 12, IMO. I think they should have gone before David Hernandez. Oh, and DO like Jason Castro, and I DO think he's cute. Yes, I HATE his hair, but he's got a cute face and gorgeous eyes!

I think this whole week was just a total bore. I'm ready to hear some music that I actually know. According to that "other" thread, next week is Inspirational songs (I guess to go with Idol Gives Back). I hope to hear some stuff that's been on the RADIO since I've been born.

Adding a few more comments. I don't think Kristy Lee should have been in the bottom 3. While she is not good enough to win, I think she will do really well in Country music (which I love) and I think she's probably already clinched that job. Someone will give her record deal in Nashville. I thought she did a great job this week with one of my all time favorite songs. Now the "8 days a week" distaster, I won't comment on.

Something about Carly just bugs me also. And her outfit Tuesday was so unflattering, Simon was correct. I was also losing interest in David A, but he was amazing this week. David cook is immensely talented and he will do very well if he wins or not. However, he's becoming more predictable each week. You can always kinda figure what he's going to sound like. Not that I don't like him and I think he's fantastic, it's just getting a little predictable.

David Hernandez though, I was applauding when he went home, he just drove me nuts!!

I'm joining in for Caropooh. My faves are David Cook and Michael Johns but I also love Jason Castro. David A. is the one I don't get.

I agree that it was Ramielle's time to go. I was surprised that Brooke was in the bottom 3, though. I thought Syesha would be there again.

I also thought Dolly's voice sounded flat or something last night - just not right somehow. Too bad 'cause I was looking forward to seeing her perform and it was disappointing.

Oh, and Bo's son is sooooooo adorable!

I actually fast forwarded through most of Dolly's song. I think she's a talented song writer, but I've never really cared for her as a performer that much. In fact I liked Carly's version of "Here You Come Again" way more than Dolly's version. Speaking of which... did anyone else think that with all the songs Dolly has written, it was pretty bold of Carly to pick one she didn't write?


When it came down to Brooke and Jason I was sure Brooke would be the one who was safe. I don't see her winning it all - but I was surprised she was in the bottom three last night.

I really liked Jason at first, but Simon's comment about him being a coffee house singer kind of struck a chord. He's just been a bit too laid back week after week for me. I hope he can figure out a way to change things up a bit... I think I could be persuaded to be a fan with the right song choice.

I like David A, but I tend to rebel a bit when I feel like a contestant has a free ride to the finals. He certainly has the teeny bopper vote locked up, yes? They could just open the show with him sitting on the safe couch to save time.

Hi everyone! I think I'll attempt to hang out on both threads. (I must be bi-polar ) It is really hard to keep-up on the other one.

I too was very happy with the outcome last night. Now if KLC will just go next.... I agree that her attempt to laugh off being in the bottom three is really wearing thin.

I'm hoping for a David Cook, Michael Johns and Jason Castro top three.

I sure hope folks begin to recognize the fact that they'll listen to a David Cook or even Michael Johns (or Carly Smithson) album over and over again, while they'll just watch for David A on "specials" and the Morning Show, and won't really put his songs into their iPod playlists for years to come. I see any one of those three (David Cook, Michael Johns, Carly Smithson) as a potential Daughtry (though none of the three are as good as Chris was, quite frankly), while David A, at best, could be a Diana Degarmo.

According to my 15DD, David A is the hotest thing out there.. All her friends have his songs on their ipods and they are the ones that are willing to sit for hours to dial in for him. I think he will be in the final two, if not the overall winner, because of his popularity with the young crowd. Personally, I like David C and Carly for the final two.

Personally, I think they got the bottom 3 right last night. If I were a betting person, I'm thinking Kristy followed by Brooke will be next. I've long felt Kristy should have been gone, but her silly 'seat note'
she wrote was immature and negative - a huge turn off.

So for me it's a toss up between Carly and Syesha...right now I'm thinking Carly.

My absolute fave is Michael Johns ~ with David C as 2nd choice....altho he seems ... borderline arrogant. I have enjoyed Jason from first night, but he really needed to kick it up a notch by now. David A has such a wonderful voice and is such a sweetie, but I don't see him as the next AI unless all American teens ban together.

Always enjoy Dolly P, even tho perhaps she was a tad off last night. We have met her, and she seems as sweet and sincere as they come....in spite of her huge assests.

Also, really enjoyed segment of past AI conestant's and where they are now.

I really like Brooke and I was suprised to see her in the bottom 3. I thought Ramiele had a great voice, but she just isn't at the level she needs to be at for this competition. I guess I don't really have a favorite...just a few that are really good that I like for different reasons. It will be interesting to see how the season plays out.

I am more interested in idol this year than last. They all seem to have more character. But anyway I think 2 weeks of Beatles was too long and hurt alot of them and then this week with Dolly, I like her in fact loved her in Steel Magnolias, but her songs are for her and it is hard to do her songs. Let me say LOVE David C, already to go to his first concert. I was shocked for Brook being in the bottom three, she is my daughters favorite, reminds her of Taylor Swift. I was a fan of Jasons, we call him stoner dude, but he needs to pick up the pace. He deserved to be in the bottom 3 before Brooke and Kristy, not a fan of hers but I think she did do a good job probably the best so far. Is it just me or when Carly is singing, which I agree she has a great voice, can you not concentrate on the song because all I can do is stare at the face on her arm! It is very hypmotizing(sp?). Love this thread unfortunately I don't get on enough to stay up on the threads on the community but will definitely check in here everyday!

No, I like him too. He is just too cute. I don't think he will go all the way. His singing isn't as good as some of the others. I don't know if I really have a favorite this year. I like Brooke a lot and was kind of nervous when she was in the bottom three. I was so glad that Ramiele went home. I wanted to do a happy dance , is that bad? I actually like David Cook this week. I think it had to do with the fact that I was on the laptop and not watching, just listening. Something about his looks just creeps me out. He does have a good voice though.

Nope. I am a Jason lover too. I much prefer him over Michael Johns and David A and ALL of the girls. I think Jason's problem is that he picks songs he likes instead of songs the audience will like.

I love Jason, too, Caropooh!! He's my babeee! I hope he stays on for awhile, he's been slipping a bit lately.

I guess no one can tell I'm a MAVID fan... Michael Johns and David COOK. Do NOT get the David's confused!! Michael was my fave from the audition,.... David had me at HELLO!!

I agree that Kristy will probably go next week but who knows? It might be Jason... but it would be a sin if he leaves before she does! I'm convinced the POWERS THAT BE want her to stay to keep the country crowd but even THEY don't like her!!

No surprise about Ramiele... except that she stayed longer than Chikezie... I will NEVER understand that!

Jason is a doll! He's my sentimental favorite. While I don't think he's by any means the strongest one out there, there's a sweet, charming, kind've goofy little vibe going that I just love. I loved his song this week! Normally I completely agree with Simon, but not this week. Mr Cranky Pants was in top form!

David A. Well, he's talented, I'll give him that. The slow/ballad style he does so well is wearing thin on me, but will say he's good at what he does. I guess. I think. Yawn.

Loved the Clark Brothers last night! It took me a minute or two to decide what the heck they were up to and whether I liked them, but once they got started, I loved it. I'm normally NOT a country music person, but they were fun!

In the beginning, I'd decided Jason was my favorite, BUT realistically he's not the best out there, although I love his laid back coffee house style. He's got me....I'll buy anything he puts out. Love that goofy grin! As to who's going to take it, I haven't a clue. David A. with his teen vote may snag it which in all honesty is probably fine. He seems the best suited to the type of music that typically shows up on Idol winner's first CDs anyway. (Meh) My favorite out there is David Cook. For me, he hits a homerun week after week. I'd buy his CDs in a heartbeat.

As much as I like Jason and Brooke, they don't have much depth. I am a Carly and David C. fan. My husband is a fan of Carly, David C. and Brooke. I sure hope Kristy Lee goes next. I think it is becoming a bit embarrassing and painful for her to always be at the bottom.
