That is so funny. I usually DO like country music, and I HATED them. I watched the whole performance with a puzzled WTH expression.

That's funny!! LOL! I started out the same way! I sat there thinking "Oh my gosh, the lead singer looks TERRIFIED and what the heck are they doing, this is bizarre!! Once they got the song underway though, they managed to pull me in. I have no idea how they did that!! They were soooo, what? I dunno, enthusiastic! Maybe that was it. Heck if I know.

I'm really confused about Jason Castro. He seems really shy, but whenever he talks he almost seems like he's stoned. I can't tell if it's just b/c he's really shy, or really high?

I was really happy to see Ramiele go. I thought she kind of had a slight attitude. I can't wait to see KLC go! Ugh, she definitely has an attitude. I understand why contestants want to give Simon crap, but I think she goes a bit overboard. He's only speaking the truth...she's horrible!

Does anyone else find watching Carly sing distracting? She is beautiful, but something about her facial expressions really bugs me. I have not been a fan at all. I didn't even think I liked her voice until they played her clip on the radio yesterday. I was shocked to realize that she sounds great if I don't look at her. I think I am going to "watch" her with my eyes closed from now on.

Yay, hey Robin! I couldn't keep up with the other thread so I came over here and I was hoping to see my favorite idol twin

This is definitely my favorite season so far. I LOVED seasons one and two but everything since then until now has been really, really bad. This season they're all so good that it's going to be hard (and interesting) to narrow down the playing field. My favorite is definitely David Cook (I've LOVED him since his audition!) but Michael Johns is a close second, followed by Jason and Brooke. If those were my top four I'd be really, really happy. I'm torn, though, because I've said so many times before that the AI producer's always screw up the winner's debut album by making them sing really cheesy pop crap, yet I'm still kind of pulling for my favorites to win... I can't decide which is better... them winning or not winning!

I really can't stay Kristy and Syesha bores me but there's still something about her that I like. I don't get the David Archuleta phenomenon because the kid has a good voice but there's just nothing special about him. He's way too cheesy, predictable and "High School Musical" for me I like Carly's voice but there's something about her that annoys me, too. I don't really mind her though.

When it comes to Jason, I just think he's really, really laid back. He doesn't seem shy because he's always acting really goofy and dancing and being outgoing, but when it comes to interviews and stuff he just seems really mellow and almost uncomfortable. He's said that he's uncomfortable doing interviews so I think that has a lot to do with it. He cracks me up, though! He's like that kid in college who's sitting in the grass playing his guitar every time you walk by all day

So what do you guys think of David Cook, personality-wise? I've heard so many different thing. I never really got "arrogant" from him but the TMZ moles at Idol rehearsals say he's always really arrogant backstage. I've also heard, though, that he's been having a hard time dealing with the stress of everything because of the show and his brother, and that he's a nice guy who's just been trying to get by, so I don't know who to believe! I do love me some David Cook, regardless

Maybe I'll try that, cuz there is something about her that I don't like either. And it's not just the tatoo, she really needs to wear something with long sleeves. Last night's short sleeves almost made it worse, then it just looked like she was bleeding.

Carly just has a... really weird face When she sings her mouth is a really weird shape and her eyes bug out! Does anyone remember Crazy Toni from Paradise Hotel and Love Cruise? Carly has Crazy Toni eyes!

And the Clark Brothers were beyond boring. I never liked them on The Next Great American Band and were surprised they won. I really can't see them going anywhere.

I love her. But her expressions shock me too, but I think the reason why, is she tends to sing with her eyes closed and the pop them open all of the sudden.

She wears dark eyeshadow and then BAM!, there are these really intense blue eyes there all of the sudden.

AI usually sticks the winner with a real dud of a first album, with the exception of Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson. I think out of the remaining eight, it would be Carly and (maybe) David A. who could survive one of their albums.

I really hope David C and Michael Johns don't win, and go the route of Chris Daughtry.

Her first album was more bluesy/pop while her later ones were more rock and I liked them a lot better. I'll say it again... the last thing David Cook or Michael Johns need is to release "A Moment Like This" or "Inside Your Heaven" as their first single

I think he is just a goofy kid. His interviews are always quirky. I don't think he is shy at all but probably just doesn't know what to say and so he rambles a bit.

Yep, it was Ramielle's time to go. I thought it was hilarious when she was in the middle of Brooke and Kristy Lee, being smooshed by their tatas

I think they got the bottom three right last night (for a change). Kristy will be next, then Brook. I like Brook but she needs to break out of her safe mode and let loose. She's too predictable.

I agree about the rooting though! They are my favorites, but since the beginning I've thought that Carly and David A. would be the final two. I think Carly just pulls in a broader vote and the teens and tweens will keep David A. going.

I agree. I think he could definitely go the Christian Contemporary way or the really clean cut "High School Musical" genre.
